DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK WHEN HE’S BEEN HERE FOR YEARS Ⓜ️ Four years, to be exact. Congratulations to alumnus Aaron Ratliff on joining the inaugural Doctor of Physical Therapy cohort at the University of Memphis Lambuth.

Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Memphis and now continues his Tiger journey as a member of our first-ever DPT cohort. Throughout his undergraduate career, he distinguished himself through his hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence — qualities that will undoubtedly serve him well as a student and future clinician.

We’re proud to see Aaron take the next step in his career right here at Memphis. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

SETTING THE STATEN QUO Ⓜ️Ⓜ️Ⓜ️ Congratulations to Ashley Staten, who joins our inaugural class as a graduate from Union University’s exercise science program. During her undergrad, Ashley excelled—making the Dean’s and President’s list multiple times. We can’t wait to see how much she excels in our program. Go Ashley! Go tigers!

LET’S CROWN HER DOCTOR DAVIS 👑 Reese Davis, current titleholder for Miss Heart of the South Volunteer and a contender for Miss Tennessee Volunteer 2027, is about to add a new title to her already impressive résumé—Doctor.

As a member of our inaugural Doctor of Physical Therapy cohort, Reese embodies everything we strive to be as a program: a servant leader, a helping hand backed by evidence-based education, and a champion for every person she meets.

We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate this milestone and all that lies ahead. Congratulations, Reese!

STRAVA KING COMMITTED TO MEMPHIS DPT 🏃‍♂️ Congratulations to Mack Yancey, a recent graduate of the Bethel University Exercise Science program, on his admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Memphis.

As a former athlete, Mack already understands the dedication, discipline, and resilience required to perform at a high level. We know he will thrive in our DPT program and go on to make a meaningful impact as an evidence-based clinician.

For Jilliann Rowsey—graduating senior and incoming Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) student—the Lambuth Campus is more than a place; it’s home.

With deep roots in the local community, she’s found a second family in the faculty and staff who have supported her throughout her journey. For the past three years, she’s called the close-knit, picturesque campus home—and she plans to do so for three more as she continues her education.

Actively engaged on campus and throughout the Jackson community, Rowsey is eager to translate her experiences into meaningful, hands-on impact. As she begins her DPT program, she looks forward to using her skills to support the health and strength of the community that has shaped her.
