Mississippi Educators Rising extends our deepest condolences to the family of Omarion “Malik” Milsaps.

Omarion was a junior at Newton Career Center and a member of Mississippi Educators Rising. He served as a Student Ambassador during our 2026 State Conference, where he represented his chapter and our organization with leadership, kindness, and a positive spirit that will be remembered by all who had the opportunity to meet him.

Please keep his family, friends, and school community in your thoughts during this difficult time.
