New mural to be dedicated along Jackson’s Martin Luther King Jr. Equality Trail The Southside Mural stands eight feet tall and 36 feet wide, with images of influential people and events from Jackson’s past.

"Are you an artist or group of artists that would like to exhibit your talents on the walls of Baker College of Jackson?

Baker College is looking for artists that would create a mural in our engineering building depicting the manufacturing climate of the Jackson area and the educational culture of Baker College.

Interested, talented individuals please submit a sketch of your ideas or a written explanation of your ideas along with a sample of your work to Marie Bonkowski, Director of Student Affairs at Baker College of Jackson. 2800 Springport Rd Jackson, Mi. Please include a letter with your name, phone number, and email. Sketches and information can be dropped off at the 100 building main front desk at Baker College Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Due date for consideration is June 30th.

The artist or group of artists chosen will be awarded a total of $500.00
