Woohoo!

We just received the phone call that made our day. A 5th grade TTS Scholar, fresh out of attending our Summer Academic Enrichment Program, and who now resides in Texas, made all A's and a B on his report card, and this is after he experienced a really tough school year prior to his attendance at our SAEP 2026.

Test-Taking Solution is igniting success all the way in Texas, Georgia, California, North Carolina, and, of course, in our home state of Mississippi! Your state could be next.

Mississippi ranks #50 where child healthcare is concerned, according to the Annie E. Casey Foundation 2026 Kids Count Data Book that reports state trends in child well-being.

We at Test-Taking Solution believe that community-based organizations, including faith-based organizations, can be a major part of the solution to move the needle in a more positive direction. Mississippi-based community organizations can help academic institutions to research and find answers to some of Mississippi's most persistent healthcare woes (e.g., low birthweight babies, infant mortality, youth obesity, etc.).

Community organizations understand their members and environment which make them uniquely suited not only to inform and enhance the design of biomedical research, but to lead it as well.

But ~

There are multiple barriers for community organizations to fully participate in the biomedical research enterprise.

It's time to try something different. Help build the research capacity of reputable community-based organizations. Then, allow them to lead alongside academic and healthcare-based institutional partners.

Another TTS Scholar shining brightly! Remember this young man?

He won 1st place in the Youth Division of the Jackson Film Festival a few years back with his screenplay entry entitled "Shining Star."

His dreams are coming true with his acceptance into the prestigious Belhaven University where he will double major in Creative Writing and Film Production.

We are mighty, mighty proud of you, Sir.

On today's episode of the Literacy Hour, Dr. Liddell focuses on education literacy and its importance in economic and workforce development.

Also, because the State of Mississippi remains in a Public Health Emergency related to Infant Mortality, Dr. Liddell continues her plan to raise awareness about the issue with an emphasis on the importance of prenatal care and postpartum care.

From the Sonic Boom of the South, to the way Mississippi showed up, to the beautiful moon that seemed to stand guard over JSU's side of the stadium, it was an event filled with 'ooooh's', 'awwwww's', and wonder.
