🐝 The Bee Hive experience: A mobile Sensory Safe Zone that travels to events throughout the Lowcountry to offer a comforting refuge for individuals experiencing a sensory-overload. Autistic and Neurodiverse people can grab a Bee Bag, a curated kit equipped with
noise-cancelling headphones and
various sensory tools.

Today we celebrate FreeDOM for Juneteenth…. But these 3 mom/daughters never trusted the water and bravely in the water. Today they are FREE of the FEAR from the thought of being in the pool.

Well we are doing it again…. Swimming lessons and tutoring to make sure our kids are prepared. .

She tutored Kaylee all school year through TPI as an Academic Coach. We are so happy to have her on our team to support our students beyond their school day.

Here is what she said today………

I can truly say I am SUPER proud of how Kaylee has improved since working with her in the fall. I have seen Kaylee gain so much confidence throughout our tutoring journey together and I believe that has helped her succeed among so many other things! Kaylee is reading with more accuracy and comprehension!

She has gone from reading at a level C to reading at a level H instructional! She is also able to identify and spell high frequency words that are more so aligned with 2nd and 3rd grade vocabulary! I do believe that using reading decodables and leveled readers at the end of our lessons has assisted with that!

Her writing has improved so much as well, she is remembering to start her sentences with capital letters, include correct spacing and punctuation throughout sentences!

Kaylee has truly made me proud! Thank you for allowing me to work with her through TPI! I have truly enjoyed it and getting to know her and her family 🤍 Pamela Pepper Baxter Patrick James Island Branch Library
