Have you ever turned away from fresh produce at the market because it looked "ugly"? That imperfect produce is often thrown out and contributes to our global food waste problem. We want to bring awareness to food waste, food insecurity and promote tasty plant-based meals made with so-called "ugly" food.
Chefs from Ithaca College & Cornell University will be battling it out in our "Ugly Food Challenge" and YOU will get to taste the dishes they create and vote for the best one.
On February 4th, 11-2 in Emerson Suites, get educated and inspired on what ugly food can bring to the table, and taste it too! 🥕

Tuesday, 2/4, 11a-2p: Join us for the Ugly Food Challenge where talented chefs will battle it out for the coveted Golden Jackfruit to prove ugly food shouldn't be wasted! RSVP at the link!
Ever wonder why we never see imperfect produce at the grocery store, despite the fact that countless resources were required to grow it and millions of people go hungry in the U.S. every day? Well, it doesn't have to go to waste! This event challenges local chefs to create plant-based dishes from misfit produce. Sound too easy? Chefs must also create dishes that are ENTIRELY edible, including plates and bowls.
