SACNAS at Cornell

We’re bringing SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) back to life at Cornell University, and we want you to be part of it! We're hosting an interest meeting next Monday 10/27 (with pizza!) at 5:15PM in the Rockefeller Hall 4th Floor conference room.

Earlier this month, Carlos teamed up with the Space Systems Design Studio member Gillis Lowry to revamp our SACNAS Expanding Your Horizons workshop! High school participants (and parents!) made their own light sails and learned about what it takes to sail to the stars!

Getting the word out about our organization through a collab with AIISP! This Tuesday, SACNAS member Joshua Umansky-Castro will introduce SACNAS-Cornell and give an overview of his soon-to-launch spacecraft missions! Please stop by Caldwell Hall for some free soup and let others know about the event!

Hey everyone, instead of a G-body meeting this month we've decided to host a discussion on revamping SACNAS-Cornell. Our chapter is down to only a few members and the majority of our remaining E-board is graduating soon. If interested in continuing our SACNAS community, please please come! We'll discuss open E-board positions and gather ideas from general members -we want to hear your thoughts about what you'd like to see from our chapter going forward! The SACNAS community has been a really welcoming and supportive group during our time at Cornell, and it'd be great to have everyone's input as we plan the future of it!
