We are one of 170+ affinity, cultural, and professional student organizations a part of the Cornell Students for Black Lives Coalition that is committed to utilizing their networks to amplify the black voices on campus in promoting activism and education to combat both blatant and implicit racism. As brothers of AEPi, we are proud members of this coalition.
Acknowledging our financial privilege and resources at Cornell, we have started a fundraiser to support the ongoing movements against racial injustices, addressing both inequality in Ithaca and nationally. All donations will be split equally between Tompkins County Showing Up for Racial Justice, Southside Community Center, Communities United for Police Reform, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and Black Lives Matter for Greater New York. Students, friends, family, alumni, and other community members, please show you support if you can donate, share, and check out this initiative for additional resources. With your help, we can magnify our impact to dismantle systems of oppression.

To members of the greater Cornell community:
We can only react with sadness and horror to the events that occurred Saturday morning at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is unthinkable that such a tragedy would occur during Shabbat morning services, a time of worship for Jews everywhere.
As historically Jewish organizations formed in response to anti-semitism, we find it necessary to stand together and support one another amid an increase in anti-semitic incidents across the country and the world. We offer our support to our brothers and sisters in Pittsburgh as well as all those in our own community who have been affected by these events. Moreover, we ask that Cornell community members of all faiths support each other and stand in unity in these divisive times.
We invite all to join Chabad and Hillel today at 4:30 PM on Ho Plaza for a vigil in memory of the 11 lives that were lost. We pray that those who have lost loved ones may find comfort among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Respectfully,
The presidents of:
