Visit the French Cheese Board in New York this August for a diverse selection of France's best cheeses !
French Cheese Board The French Cheese Board is a studio devoted to all things French Cheese. Conceived as an idea lab, it is a space for consumers and trade members to discover the diversity and richness that France has to offer through a series of interactive showings and events. The new home to French Cheese in New York, we blend the culinary arts with contemporary art installations, meshing lifestyle, art, cheese and more. We put art and design at the forefront of modernity, development, and innovation. We invite artists, designers, chefs, and researchers to work together on projects related to French cheese and the nutrition of today and tomorrow. The French Cheese Board provides a platform for the exchanging of ideas, for education, and for the celebration of French cheese.

The Battle of Algiers
Thursday, February 9 7:00
AND Sunday, February 12 7:00
1966 > Italy > Directed by Gillo Pontecorvo
With Jean Martin, Yacef Saadi, Brahim Haggiag
A stirring pseudo-documentary about the Algerian revolution against the imperialist French. The film treatment was written by an Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN) leader while in a French prison, who upon his release produced the film. With a compelling score by Ennio Morricone and remarkable footage shot in the labyrinthine lanes of the Casbah and on the streets of Algiers, the film was nominated for numerous Academy Awards and won the Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival. Shown in a new 50th anniversary digital restoration. Subtitled. More at rialtopictures.com

With Audrey Tautou, Mathieu Kassovitz

AND Friday, February 24 7:00
2016 > France > Directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic
With Max Brebant, Roxane Duran, Julie-Marie Parmentier
An eerily seductive mind-bender about a remote island community of young boys and adult women, whose putty-like skin hints at something not quite human. Awash in the haunting, otherworldly images of a nightmare, the film features "gorgeous widescreen cinematography, including stunning underwater and nighttime footage." (Variety) Subtitled.
