๐ŸŒŸ First 6 Weeks Perfect Attendance Recognition

The first six weeks of school set the tone for the entire year, and we would like to recognize our bus drivers and monitors who achieved Perfect Attendance during this important time.

๐Ÿ‘ THANK YOU to our First 6 Weeks Perfect Attendance recipients! Your dedication, dependability, and commitment to serving our students do not go unnoticed.
Because when we show up, our students have the opportunity to show up too. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸšŒ

๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐…๐š๐œ๐ญ: The most dangerous part of the school bus ride is getting on and off
the school bus. Students are at greatest risk of being injured or killed,

are in the most danger of not being seen by the driver. The danger
zones include:
๐ŸšŒ 10 feet in front of the bus where the driver may be too high to
see the student,
๐ŸšŒ 10 feet on either side of the bus where a student may be in the
driverโ€™s blind spot, and

Using inside voices on the school bus helps create a safer environment for everyone.

๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐…๐š๐œ๐ญ: A quieter bus helps the driver stay focused and allows them to hear important sounds, such as emergency vehicles, railroad crossings, or student concerns that may need immediate attention

Students should remain seated with their feet on the floor and facing forward while the bus is in motion. Sitting properly helps students maintain their balance and ensures they are in the safest position while the bus is traveling. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ’›

๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐…๐š๐œ๐ญ: School bus seats are designed to protect students through a safety feature called compartmentalization. This protection works best when students are seated properly and facing forward.

A clear aisle is a safe aisle. ๐Ÿš

The aisle of a school bus serves as an important pathway for students to enter, exit, and evacuate the bus in an emergency.
๐ŸŽ’๐ŸŽทโšฝWhen backpacks, instruments, sports equipment, or other personal items block the aisle, they can create tripping hazards and slow down an emergency evacuation.

These procedures may take a few extra moments, but they are designed to protect every student on board. ๐Ÿš
