Angel Tip 5: Get in Action

Start taking action on the steps you can do right away. Set reminders on things to do later with an alert to keep you on task. Smart phone timer reminders are great for this.

When you feel overwhelmed by number of tasks, pause a moment; breathe slowly in and out then choose the easiest, smallest task to do first, like wiping down a counter.

Then do the next thing. Then the next thing. Keep going and you'll get back on track on no time!

Angel Tip 4: Plan it Out!

Now that you hopefully have a support team to with work, meet with them and bring all the critical ideas to make this a great dinner, get all the ideas written down in one place. Collaborate on the priorities and divide up the tasks evenly so that everyone can participate. Decide who will do what and when, with backup plans if necessary.

Send the plan to everyone with their action steps and timelines so that this process goes smoothly.

Set up a check-in call or meeting for Wednesday to keep everything on track. Be prepared for unexpected hiccups that might happen.

Angel Tip 3: Ask for Help!

It’s actually a sign of strength, not weakness, to ask for help. Besides, isn’t it more fun to complete a project together and support each other?

Hopefully, at least one or two people immediately come to mind you can count on. If not, take a moment to consider reaching out to friends or family members you haven’t seen in a while. They might be happily surprised that you asked for their help!
