*La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.*

Islamic Center of Irving – Official Announcement of Ramadan 1447 AH

Assalāmu ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger ﷺ.

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon. Accordingly, Ramadan 1447 AH will begin on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and the first night of Tarāwīḥ will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in shā’ Allāh.

Based on this confirmation:
• First Tarāwīḥ: Tuesday night, February 17, 2026. Isha Iqmah at 8pm
• First Fast: Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Fajr Iqamah 6:15am

The Islamic Center of Irving follows a global moon-sighting criterion, which includes verified and authorized announcements from recognized Islamic countries. In accordance with this established methodology, we are pleased to announce the beginning of the blessed month.

We ask Allah ﷻ to allow us to reach Ramadan with īmān and good health, to accept our fasting, qiyām, du‘ā’, and charity, and to make it a means of forgiveness and renewal for our community.

We look forward to welcoming you and your families for Tarāwīḥ beginning tonight InshaAllah.
