Can you relate to the statement below:

"I feel like a failure when I compare myself to other people and don't feel I measure up. People who make more money, who are more successful, who are in better shape, who have their life more put together, etcetera."

There are many of you who wrestle with the spirit of comparison on a daily basis. This spirit can literally turn you into your own worst enemy. The spirit of comparison causes you to have a negative perception of yourself because the enemy uses lies to draw you into self-sabotage. You will always find yourself making comparison statements such as, “I wish I could do it like they do it.”

Comparison is rooted in the need for validation and acceptance and leads us to find our worth in how those around us see us when we should always find our worth in Christ. Comparison also comes from a place of ungratefulness and the inability to see what is unique about you and the gifts that God has placed inside of you.

If you suffer with comparison, renounce that spirit in the name of Jesus. Ask God to forgive you for devaluing the very gifts that he’s blessed you with. Pray for God to change your heart and mind and how you see yourself. Repent. Praise God for who you are and who he is molding you into. Lastly, be conscious of your thoughts and when thoughts of comparison surface, identify the lie and apply God’s word to destroy it.

I prophetically speak over the person reading this - the rising up of dry bones in your life. God is bringing restoration and a newness to dead dreams, missed opportunities and foggy vision. That thing you thought you missed out on is about to circle back and God is going to equip you with all that you need to move forward. You will have a great testimony of how you thought it was over... BUT GOD! You thought it was dead... BUT GOD! You thought you lost... BUT GOD! It's vital in this season that you position yourself in such a way that when God gives the green light you're already prepared to GO! Revisit the dry bones in your life and submit them to God's will. Begin asking God to prepare your heart and your mind to receive what you once thought was lost.

Self-healing is a continual process of growth and change, both of which can be uncomfortable and ugly. Many time we reject the healing that God is trying to do by walking away from the process as soon as the wound begins to sting again. The problem arises when the unhealed version of who we are resurfaces in different phases of our life. When we're offended. When we're rejected. When we're hurt. When we fail. Even when we win. Many people react to situations as the younger version of themselves whose soul was wounded years ago.

If you're in the healing process right now, KEEP GOING. If you've abandoned the healing process, GO BACK. To heal is to enhance your life spiritually, emotionally, mentally and even physically.

I pray that God gives you the strength to wheather the storm that comes with deciding to heal. I pray that you experience the freedom that comes from breaking cycles of generational trauma and that the stronghold of hurt, guilt, and shame be torn down and Jesus's name.

Congratulations to those of you who have conquered battles not visible to the outside world. I'm proud of you!

And to those of you who continue to pursue victory over life's challenges, KEEP FIGHTING!
