Now the home of UCDC, UC Center Sacramento, and the Civic & Community Engagement Minor for UC Irvine.

Part of the Division of Undergraduate Education, the UCI Office of Civic Engagement provides students with opportunities to engage as citizens and community members in a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities that enhance their education and professional development. The Office includes the Civic and Community Engagement minor, the UCDC Internship Program, and UCCS Sacramento Internship Program.

What exactly is the Office of Civic Engagement? We host programs for undergraduate students interested in making a difference through civic action and engagement.

Our programs include the:

• Civic & Community Engagement Minor - an interdisciplinary 28-unit minor open to undergrads of all majors. The core course, US 10, is being offered this Fall 2025!

• UC Washington, D.C. Internship Programs - immersive 10-week internships in the heart of D.C. Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 priority applications due November 3!

• UC Center Sacramento Internship Program - immersive 10-week internships offering building blocks for students who want to explore careers in public policy. Spring 2026 applications due October 16!
