Activity: Join Olé OC at the Second Harvest Food Bank Distribution Center!

Volunteers will help process nutritious fruits and vegetables that will be distributed through the Community Partner Network.

📍 Location: 8014 Marine Way, Irvine, CA 92618
🕗 Time: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
👥 Ages: 13+ (with adult chaperone)

Please join us for a day of volunteering at the Orange County Rescue Mission from 1:45-4pm June 14th. We will be volunteering in the kitchen and warehouse, please dress accordingly. A little about the OCRM: The Orange County Rescue Mission is a life-transformation program that provides on-campus housing, basic needs, and comprehensive services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

We got some exciting alumni events coming up, Gauchos! 🤠

This Saturday, October 12th, join Olé OC in cheering on 🏐 at 4 PM at UC Irvine’s Bren Events Center and ⚽️ at 6 PM at UC Irvine’s Anteater Stadium 🏟️

From 4-6 PM, you can meet with fellow Gauchos for light bites, prize give away, and good company at Eureka in the University Town Center in Irvine! 🍔

Just keep in mind that due to the timing, you unfortunately won’t be able to attend both games and the meet up at Eureka. So we recommend you pick which game you prefer to see and try to stop by Eureka before the soccer game or after the volleyball game 🚨

On the second slide, we’ve circle the two stadiums as well as the Mesa Parking Structure where we recommend you park for both games! 🚙

Payton Adams is from Orange County, California. She graduated with High Honors and dual degrees in Psychological and Brain Sciences, Communication and a minor in Applied Psychology. At UCSB Payton worked at the Koegel Autism Center as a Clinic Coordinator managing client assessments as well as conducting research in a cognitive lab and autobiographical memory lab which led her to pursue a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology focusing on Memory Cognition at Saint Louis University this Fall. Payton loved her 4 years at UCSB and is proud to be forever a Gaucho!

Day of Service is our annual event that encourages UC Santa Barbara alumni across the globe to give back to their communities. Last year's event was a huge success with over 400 Gauchos spending their Saturday in service to their communities. Meet our new UCSB Alumni and second generation Gaucho!

Tiana Garcia is from Irvine in Orange County, California. Tiana graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Communication Studies, Class of 2022. Tiana’s fondest memories from UCSB (besides taking classes that were conducted on the beach) are participating in meaningful research projects and working directly with the head of the Communication Department. While studying at UCSB, Tiana worked as a Learning Facilitator at Girls Inc. and as a Teaching Assistant at Isla Vista Elementary. Tiana loves environmental causes and working with children and plans to enter the field of Environmental Education in the Santa Barbara area.
