Yesterday was an exciting day for College of the Desert. The College held its annual “State of the College” event and hosted more than 160 supporters of the College to a luncheon and presentation. The presentation by Dr. Kinnamon highlighted new facilities, special programs and remarkable students at COD. The MAAS program management team at COD worked tirelessly to ensure everything at the College was ready for the event; even under an aggressive timeline. We were proud to be in attendance and thrilled to continue a what has been a wonderful working relationship with the college.

Riverside Art Museum served as the venue for the “Yes for Measure A” campaign kick-off hosted by members of Riverside Community College District board and administration. Measure A comes up for vote in March and, if passed, will be essential in supporting the continued vitality of Moreno Valley, Norco and Riverside City Colleges. In addition to facilities improvements/updates, funds generated by Measure A will be used to improve support services offered to students and veterans.
Voters, keep an eye out for vote-by-mail ballots in early February. If you vote at the polls, Election Day is March 3!

The first columns and beams are up for the New Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (New SEM) Building at Cypress College. These activities follow nine laborious months of re-rerouting existing utilities and building foundation work. The assembly of structural steel components will continue for the remainder of 2019 into early 2020. This project is funded by NOCCCD’s Bond Measure J, a $574 million ballot measure passed by North County residents. MAAS is proud to work alongside NOCCCD on the Program Management of this bond measure.
