💛 Congratulations to Mrs. Catherine “Cat” Chesson, Iowa High School’s 2026–2027 Support Staff of the Year! 🏆

Mrs. Cat has served our Jacket family in more ways than one! From her previous role as a gifted studies paraprofessional to her current role as a bus driver, she has consistently demonstrated a heart for students and a willingness to serve wherever she is needed.

For Mrs. Cat, supporting students goes beyond the classroom. She helps start and end their school days with kindness, patience, and a familiar, welcoming face.

Her dependability, compassion, and student-first attitude make her a valued part of our school community.

We are proud to recognize Mrs. Cat for her dedication and the many ways she makes a difference for our Yellow Jackets! 💜🐝💛

Iowa Middle School art students collaborated to create a unique “Wish Quilt.” Each student crafted an 8” x 8” square using pre-cut felt shapes. The project was generously supported by the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, which donated all the materials. The students thoroughly enjoyed this engaging and creative project.

Today is National Custodian Day! We want to recognize and thank the people who help care for our schools and keep them ready for our students and staff each day. Pictured here is Ms. Eva Davis, who has been a custodian at Iowa High School since 1972. After more than five decades as a Yellow Jacket, Ms. Davis has become a true staple in the Iowa community. Thank you to Ms. Davis and all of our CPSB custodians for the care, time, and dedication you give to our schools every day.
