Webinar For Educators on Sept. 30 | Making Your Voice Heard
Educators are invited to join an important and timely virtual discussion on Wednesday, September 30th at 3 PM ET on voter engagement and civic participation for working and retired educators.
This upcoming election has issues that are top priorities for 50+ educators, including Social Security and caregiving. So itβs critically important for educators to be informed on the issues and how to be engaged in your states and communities. As trusted voices in communities across the country, educators understand the importance of informed participation and helping others stay engaged in the democratic process.
During Voter Engagement 101: Making Your Voice Heard, educators will learn about key voting resources, how to stay informed about election rules and deadlines, ways to encourage civic participation in communities, and tools available to help voters navigate the 2026 election season.

Watch/Share Replay | NRTA 2026 Educator Advocacy Conference
Retired Educator Associations and their members from across the nation recently participated in a free national virtual advocacy conference on how to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
A special highlight of this year's conference was a national update on what's happening in the states regarding teacher pensions. Attendees heard from Marge Stoneking, Advocacy Director with AARP Alaska, who provided an inside update on Alaska's bipartisan effort to restore teacher pensions after the state eliminated its traditional pension system, a proposal that has drawn national attention as lawmakers work to address educator shortages.
