The Root Bears You

The Root Bears You Isa 28:9 Whom would He teach knowledge? And whom would He make to understand the message? Shalom! (Footnote: 1Ps. 40:6, 7.)

We are a NON 501(c)(3); non-profit charity, instituted and dedicated to the keeping and the teaching of the Truth! Our efforts are concentrated and devoted primarily towards ANYONE who has been recently awakened and is desiring the need for a spiritual change in both conduct and worship. We specifically wish to help those less fortunate, such as prisoners, orphans, widows, or anyone who has become

fortunate enough to hear the calling and have their feet planted on the Strait and Narrow Way. THE SEAL - It is our humble heartfelt prayer that along this journey, we are able to succor your understanding of the True Names of both The Father YAHWEH, and His Messiah Son YAHSHUA our Saviour. The True Name of our Father Yahweh, is the oil (Heb. “shemen”) which provides the fuel for our lamps to be burning! THE SIGN - This OBSCURE and VERY NARROW WAY, which only a few will find (Mat 7:14), will ONLY come into view by having this “shemen” in our lamps, shining the direction upon this well-lit path, through the importance of keeping Yahweh's 7th Day Shabbat and His 7 Annual Shabbatown. With these ancient blueprints restored, may you build your foundation upon His SOLID ROCK and Chief Cornerstone, who Was from the beginning (1 John 1:1) The Word, YAHSHUA ha Mashiach. WHAT WE DO -We FREELY provide trusted Sacred Name Bibles, educational materials, provisions for orphanages (food, clothing, shelter materials), all through proceeds reciprocated from donations & our own published work, The True Body of Messiah. Having navigated through all the disinformation and purposeful mis-directions, the founder and author (once an inmate himself), saw the need for an in between 'liaison' that could aid in the efforts to put 'solid meat' in the hands of those desiring to change their lives by coming to walk in truth and obedience. After all, our heavenly Father disciplines those He loves - seeking a broken, crushed heart and spirit before beginning the rehabilitation process. Isa 57:15, For thus declares the high and exalted One who dwells forever, whose Name is set-apart, “I dwell in the high and set-apart place, with him who has a bruised and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of bruised ones." Pro 3:12 For whom יהוה loves He reproves, as a father the son whom he delights in"

AT 'THE ROOT BEARS YOU' WE ARE 'OVERCOMERS', KNOWN AS 'SPIRITUAL ISRA'EL.' Gal 6:15 "For in Messiah יהושע neither circumcision nor un-circumcision has any strength, but a renewed creature. Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and compassion be upon them, and upon the Yisra’ĕl of Elohim." WE HAVE COME OUT OF THE WORLD AND ARE ALLOWING ELOHIM TO RULE OUR LIVES. WE HUMBLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND CLAIM - 2nd John 1:6 "And this is the love that we walk according to His commands. This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it." 1Jn 5:3 For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy, because everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world." -Deu 30:8 “And you shall turn back and obey the voice of יהוה and do ALL His commands which I command you today. Deu 30:9 “And יהוה your Elohim shall make you have excess in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground for good. For יהוה turns back to rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, Deu 30:10 if you obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim, to guard His commands and His laws which are written in this Book of the Torah, if you turn back to יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being. Deu 30:11 “For this command which I am commanding you today, it is not too hard for you, nor is it far off. Deu 30:12 “It is not in the heavens, to say, ‘Who shall ascend into the heavens for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’ Deu 30:13 “Nor is it beyond the sea, to say, ‘Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’ Deu 30:14 “For the Word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart – to do it. Deu 30:15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, and death and evil, Deu 30:16 in that I am commanding you today to love יהוה your Elohim, to walk in His ways, and to guard His commands, and His laws, and His right-rulings. And you shall live and increase, and יהוה your Elohim shall bless you in the land which you go to possess." - Deu 7:9 “And you shall know that יהוה your Elohim, He is Elohim, the trustworthy Ěl guarding covenant and kindness for a thousand generations with those who love Him, and those who guard His commands." WE TAKE A LITERAL, DIRECT, INDUCTIVE APPROACH TO STUDYING THE SCRIPTURES, ALLOWING THE SCRIPTURES TO TEACH US RATHER THAN 'GNOSTICALLY' DICTATING TO THE SCRIPTURES WHAT WE WILL DO AS ACCORDING TO OUR LIFESTYLE. WE SHED OFF OUR TRADITIONAL, CULTURAL CONDITIONING, SEEKING TO BE TRUE WORSHIPPERS WHO WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH. John 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also does seek such to worship Him." WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE MORAL LAW IS STILL VERY MUCH STANDING IN THE NEW COVENANT WITH YAHSHUA MESSIAH AS OUR HIGH PRIEST. WE INTERPRET CORRECTLY THAT THE ADDED LAWS OF THE OLD COVENANT SUCH AS: (...SACRIFICIAL, CEREMONIAL, BURNT OFFERINGS, LEVITICAL, TEMPLE, AND THE ADDED PHARASAICAL ORAL/WRITTEN DOGMATIC LAWS...) HAVE BEEN ABOLISHED IN MESSIAHS FLESH AS MEDIATOR OF THE NEW COVENANT. Heb 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent service, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was constituted on better promises. Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Heb 10:4 "For it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Heb 10:5 Therefore, coming into the world, He says, “Slaughtering and meal offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me. Heb 10:6 “In burnt offerings and offerings for sin You did not delight. Heb 10:7 “Then I said, ‘See, I come – in the roll of the book it has been written concerning Me – to do Your desire, O Elohim.’ ”Heb 10:8 Saying above, “Slaughter and meal offering, and burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor delighted in,” which are offered according to the Torah, Heb 10:9 then He said, “See, I come to do Your desire, O Elohim.” He takes away the first to establish the second. Heb 10:10 By that desire we have been set apart through the offering of the body of יהושע Messiah once for all. WE ALSO TREAD CAREFULLY REALIZING THAT IT WAS FORETOLD THAT MEN WOULD COME AND PERVERT THE 'GRACE' FOR A 'LICENSE TO DO AS YOU PLEASE' AND WISH TO ENSURE THAT NONE BECOME ENTANGLED IN THIS WEB OF DECEIT. Jude 1:4 "For certain men have slipped in, whose judgment was written about long ago, wicked ones perverting the favour (GRACE) of our Elohim for 'indecency' (WHICH IS CLEARLY DEFINED AS: LASCIVIOUSNESS, LICENTIOUSNESS, LEWDNESS, WANTONNESS, SEE: GREEK #766 'aselgeia'), and denying the only Master יהוה and our Master יהושע Messiah. WE KNOW THAT MESSIAH TAUGHT AGAINST THESE ACTIONS SPECIFICALLY! Mark 7:21 “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil reasonings, adulteries, whorings, murders, Mark 7:22 thefts, greedy desires, wickednesses, deceit, indecency, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. Mark 7:23 “All these wicked matters come from within and defile a man.”

WE DESIRE TO BE WORKERS WORTHY OF THEIR WAGES USING OUR 'TALENTS' TO FURTHER THE KINGDOM, RATHER THAN BURYING THEM IN THE GROUND LIKE THE WORTHLESS SERVANT. WE HAVE PUT OUR HANDS TO THE PLOW AND CANNOT LOOK BACK. WE HAVE BEEN GRAFTED IN BY BELIEF, AND THEREFORE WE DO NOT TELL THE ROOT (THE PERFECT MORAL LAW) WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO, WHICH LAWS OR COMMANDS WE WILL FOLLOW, NOR DO WE BOAST AGAINST THE ROOT WHICH IS THE PERPETUAL EVERLASTING LOVING COVENANT THAT OFFERS FREEDOM AND LIBERTY. James 1:25 "But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah.". James 2:12 So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a Torah of freedom". John 8:32 "and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

ON THE CONTRARY WE DO OUR UTMOST TO SHOW OUR LOVE TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER BY WALKING AS OBEDIENT CHILDREN. THIS IS HIS DESIRE, THAT WE LIVE IN HIS MERCY AND LOVING PROTECTION. Psa 91:14 “Because he cleaves to Me in love, Therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, Because he has known My Name. Psa 91:15 “When he calls on Me, I answer him; I am with him in distress; I deliver him and esteem him. Psa 91:16 “With long life I satisfy him, And show him My deliverance.”

WE CHOOSE TO TURN FROM OUR FORMER LIVES AND INCORRECT DOCTRINES WE LEARNED IN CHURCHIANITY, CASTING AWAY THE ENEMY AND HIS LIES THAT HAVE CREPT IN THROUGH DECEPTION AS FORETOLD BY THE PROPHETS (NEVI'IM). Eze 22:25 “There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst, like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured life, they have taken wealth and precious matters, they have made many widows in her midst. Eze 22:26 “Her priests have done violence to My teaching, and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned in their midst." FOR WE KNOW THAT OUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER HAS TOLD US ...Eze 18:21 “But the wrong, if he turns from all his sins which he has done, and he shall guard all My laws, and shall do right ruling and righteousness, he shall certainly live, he shall not die. Eze 18:22 “All the transgressions which he has done shall not be remembered against him – in his righteousness that he has done, he shall live." Eze 18:23 “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wrong?” declares the Master יהוה. “Is it not that he should turn from his ways, and live?" THEREFORE Eze 18:31 “Cast away from you all the transgressions, by which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Yisra’ĕl? Eze 18:32 “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” declares the Master יהוה. “SO, TURN BACK AND LIVE"

Shabbat Shalom!

What Does it Mean to Both Remember and Keep Yahweh’s Sabbaths?

The fourth commandment tells us to “remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy.” -Exo. 20:8. The erroneous modern day thought to most Sun-day keepers is that this just simply means, “yes we remember that the 7th Day Sabbath used to be holy on Saturday.” Others have been led to believe that Sun-day or any day they choose can be their Sabbath. They draw these illogical conclusions from misappropriated “Ferris wheel verses” like Rom. 14:5, as we covered in Part 1.

Ironically, out of these Ten Commandments this is the only one we’re told to “remember” and specifically the first one people are told to forget all about! Then there are of course those who say they do remember and honor the day, but are they keeping it the way Yahweh wants it to be kept? After all, what is the point of doing anything unless you’re doing it the right way? You should be either cold or hot. The state of being “lukewarm” will have Yahshua rejecting you, “vomiting thee out of (His) mouth.” Rev. 3:16.

Z***r

As is most often the case, our English translation loses a major part of the flavor and relevance from the underlying source language of the original Hebrew. Behind our translated word “remember” in Exo. 20:8, we find the word ‘zakar’, which Strong’s references as Hebrew word #2142. By reading the definition, we see that not only are we to simply “remember the Sabbath,” but in order to accurately reverence and venerate Yahweh per His command, and ‘zakar’ the Sabbath, we should, “properly MARK (so as to RECOGNIZE) [this day, being forever] MINDFUL [of His Day as we] RECOUNT, [keeping count of every Sabbath, becoming a] RECORD(ER), MAKING [His Sabbath] to be REMEMBERED, [by] BRINGING, CALLING [ourselves and others to keep coming by continuously] KEEPING [this day as our] REMEMBRANCE [of Him as our Creator and Redeemer].”

In the Hebrew ‘zakar’ looks like this, [זָכַר]. In the pictorial Hebrew the first letter ‘zayin’ represents a mattock (plowing instrument), while the middle letter ‘kaph’ is the palm of the hand, and the 'resh' represents the head of a man/mankind. To ‘zakar His Shabbat properly, means that we [resh] His faithful workers in the field, will have both hands [kaph] on the plow [zayin] for the purpose of bringing forth nourishment, which will ultimately yield a bountiful kingdom harvest for Yahshua. “Pray ye therefore the Master of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.” – Mat. 9:38.

These Ten Commandments are then repeated in the 5th chapter of Deuteronomy. I once asked Elder Jerry Healan the question, “What was the significance/difference between when the Ten Commandments were first given in Exo. 20 and then when they were repeated in Deut. 5?” On 1/7/19, his erudition was shown with this perspicacious response:

[“Exodus 20 of course is when Yahweh descended upon the mountain to pronounce to Israel His covenant which were to be the primary laws of His kingdom. It was given to the generation that came out of Egypt. In Deuteronomy 5, Moses is reiterating Yahweh’s commandments to the 2nd generation who were either born in the wilderness or were younger than 20 when they left Egypt. The 2nd generation in the wilderness were NOT circumcised in the flesh. All who left Egypt were circumcised. This reveals to me that just because a person is physically circumcised, It doesn’t mean that they are in a covenant relationship. Those who are baptized in Yahshua are the ones in the covenant relationship. I think there is also another hidden meaning because the 1st generation failed to keep Yahweh’s covenant, but the 2nd generation had the covenant confirmed to them through Moses, but one named Yahshua (son of Nun) is the one who circumcised them and led them into the promised land.”]

Both enlightened and intrigued, further studies of mine took me to the exploration of this Fourth Commandment repeated here in Deuteronomy 5. Instead of “remember the Sabbath” (as it read in Exo. 20:8), we now see the command reads, “keep the Sabbath” -Deut. 5:12. Then, this same phrase is repeated for emphasis at the closing of 5:15, “therefore Yahweh thy Elohim commanded us to keep the Sabbath day.”

By using an interlinear, one can see that there are in fact, two different Hebrew words behind the translated word “keep” in these two verses. Once again, through the following exploration, the depth and intense richness of the Hebrew unearths the fact that we have certainly been kept in the dark as to the true intention of what it means to “Keep the Sabbath.”

Shamar

In Deuteronomy 5:12 we see “keep” is translated from ‘shamar’ which Strong’s lists as Hebrew word #8104 [ שָׁמַר ]. As a primitive root this word is used as a verb in a wide variety of senses. Upon reading the definition, we see that in association with “keeping the Sabbath” this means to: “HEDGE [this day] ABOUT WITH THORNS, i.e. GUARD, PROTECT & ATTEND TO [this day], etc., :- beward, be circumspect, take heed (to self) keep, mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save… WAIT (FOR) [this day and become a] WATCH(MAN)” [over His Sabbath Command!]

Shamar in the pictorial Hebrew has the idea of “restoring/ returning” [shin], “the spirit” [mem], “to mankind” [resh]. We could also decipher this to understand that when we. ‘shamar’ this day correctly, “man’s” [resh] ”chaos” [mem] is “destroyed” [shin].

(NOTE: The letter Shin picturing teeth, can mean to return or to destroy, while the mem, picturing water, can typify the spirit in a controlled, calm and peaceful sense, or represent chaos as water out of control).

Indeed, the 6 days of the world are quite chaotic! Why not ‘shamar’ the Shabbat by returning to Yahweh, allowing your spirit to be rejuvenated, refreshed and renewed, and the chaotic spirit of the world to be destroyed.

Asah

Returning to Deuteronomy 5:15, we find that our other word translated “keep” is Strong’s Hebrew word #6213, ‘asah’. Again, the vast and immense totality of our underlying Hebrew word is only absorbed through reading the definition of this primitive root. Paraphrasing the definition provided by Strong’s, ‘asah’ in respect to the Sabbath means to, “ACCOMPLISH, ADVANCE, [and] BRING FORTH [His Shabbat by] certainly, HAVING THE CHARGE of, COMMITTING [to this Day by] FOLLOWING, FULFILLING, [and] GOVERNING [His Day by becoming a governor of His Shabbat by], being INDUSTRIOUS, [even if you have to] journey to keep [this Day], LABOUR [to] MAINTAIN… [and] OBSERVE, being OCCUPIED, [by] being an OFFICER [for Yahweh by], PERFORMING, [through] PRACTISING, PREPARING, PROCURING [and always] PROVIDING [for this Day to keep it set apart, this is how we] REQUITE [repaying Him the only way we can, through our] SACRIFICE [to both honor and] SERVE [Yahweh] …SPENDING [and defending this Day] THOROUGHLY [as both a] WARRIOR [and] WORKMAN [as we humbly] YIELD [to Yahweh’s sanctified Day of rest].”

Another enlightening footnote drawing the comparison between the 4th Commandment, found in both Exodus and Deuteronomy, is located in the Hebraic Roots Bible (HRB) at Deut. 5:15, [“In Exodus, the Sabbath commandment reverts back to creation, whereas here it is to remember their slavery. This shows us the two-fold commission of the Sabbath day to revere Yahweh as creator and look forward to His soon coming Kingdom when it will be as it was in the Garden of Eden. Secondly, it also reminds us every 7th day of the bo***ge that our sins brought us into and we give reverence to Yahshua Messiah (Mk 2:28) from saving us from that spiritual bo***ge by paying the penalty of our sins. Keeping these two most important aspects in remembrance is vital for true covenant believers and clearly shows the Sabbath is important to keep and is still a commandment today.”]

In the Hebrew ‘asah’ is spelled Ayin, Shin, Hey [ עָשָׂה ], from right to left. In the pictorial, the ‘ayin’ picturing an eye, is recorded in Strong’s as Hebrew word # 5869. By reading this definition we see that other than the literal meaning of “an eye”, ‘ayin’ in the figurative sense has to do with, “by analogy, a fountain:- affliction… [being] humble[d] knowledge, sight.” The letter ‘shin’ once again, as two front teeth press together, had to do has to do with “returning, or bringing together,” or “consuming and destroying.” Lastly, the letter ‘hey’ represents, “behold, something revealed, revelation.”

So what is being revealed here? Reading this one way we could interpret that when we ‘asah’ His Sabbath, we are REVEALING [hey] our RETURN [shin] to bring ourselves back to Him to obtain the KNOWLEDGE [ayin] He imparts to us through His Spirit on this Day. We can also understand that in keeping this day correctly, we are delivered from our former AFFLICTION [ayin] of being in bo***ge to the chaos and confusion of this world, only when we RETURN [shin] to the REVELATION [hey] of His magnificent plan that has been revealed to us.

Said yet in one more way, we REVEAL [hey] that on His Sabbath, in RETURNING [shin] to His Covenant Sign, we can drink from His Eternal FOUNTAIN [asah] of Living Waters. “Yahshua stood and cried, if any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.” -John 7:37. Having His Spirit, we are they who believe on Him as the Scriptures have declared, “out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water.” -John 7:38. We can now CONSUME from this “FOUNTAIN of Living Water” Jer. 17:13, this, “well of water springing up into everlasting life” -John 4:14-15, be refreshed and rejuvenated each and every Sabbath, and never be thirsty again.

An example of both of the words (SHAMAR/ASAH) in action, is found in Exo. 31:13-16, “Verily My Sabbaths ye shall ‘SHAMAR’ for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that ye may know that I am Yahweh that doth sanctify you. Ye shall’ SHAMAR the Sabbath therefore, for it is Qodesh for you; the profaners of it shall surely be executed; for everyone doing work (melaka) in it shall be cut off from the midst of his people. Six days may work (melaka) be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest Qodesh to Yahweh…Wherefore the children of Israel shall’ SHAMAR’ the Sabbath, to ‘ASAH’ the Sabbath, throughout their generations for a perpetual covenant.”

The HRB footnotes here expound, [“Exo. 31:12-19 clearly shows the eternal Sabbath covenant that Yahweh has made to His children for eternity, which shows who He is as Creator and His blessing of rest to those that enter His family covenant. The word for doing means to expand and work is ‘melaka’ which is a form of the Hebrew word for Kingdom, so we are not to expand our own kingdom.”] From this we can ascertain that by working or pursuing our own pleasures on Yahweh’s Sabbath, we are in rebellion, rejecting His Way and instead mimicking Satan. We are to be building up and advancing Yahweh’s Kingdom not Satan’s.

Statement of Doctrine: Spiritual Warfare and Engagement

Article I — The Nature of Spiritual Warfare

We believe that there exists an ongoing spiritual conflict between righteousness and iniquity, truth and deception, under the sovereign authority of Yahweh. This warfare is manifested in the lives of those who commit themselves to obedience to Yahweh and faith in Yahshua the Messiah.
(Daniel 10:13; Ephesians 6:12; 1 Peter 5:8)

Article II — The Call to Engagement

We believe that the people of Yahweh are called to active participation in this conflict through lives of obedience, proclamation of truth, and separation from the world. In so doing, they advance into areas where darkness has prevailed and expose the works contrary to Yahweh’s will.
(Matthew 5:14–16; John 17:16–18; Ephesians 5:11; Philippians 2:15–16)

Article III — The Principle of Opposition

We affirm that when a servant of Yahweh enters into areas where the adversary’s influence is exposed, opposition is certain. As it is written in principle: when one engages the enemy at his most vulnerable point, resistance will follow. Therefore, trials, persecution, and testing are to be expected as a natural result of faithful obedience.
(John 15:18–20; 2 Timothy 3:12; 1 Peter 4:12–13; James 1:2–3)

Article IV — The Purpose of Testing

We believe that Yahweh permits such opposition for the proving, refining, and strengthening of His people. These trials are not for their destruction, but for their perfection in obedience, faith, and endurance through Yahshua the Messiah.
(Zechariah 13:9; Romans 5:3–5; James 1:3–4; 1 Peter 1:6–7)

Article V — The Conduct of the Faithful

We believe that those engaged in spiritual warfare must conduct themselves according to righteousness, maintaining obedience to the commandments of Yahweh, faith in Yahshua the Messiah, separation from sin and worldly corruption, and continual vigilance through prayer and endurance. The faithful do not respond with carnal means, but stand firm in truth and righteousness.
(Exodus 20:1–17; Ecclesiastes 12:13; John 14:15; 2 Corinthians 10:3–5; Ephesians 6:13–18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Article VI — The Assurance of Victory

We believe that ultimate victory belongs to Yahweh and is secured through Yahshua the Messiah. Those who remain steadfast in obedience and faith will overcome all opposition and inherit the promises given to the faithful.
(Deuteronomy 20:4; Romans 8:37; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 1 John 5:4–5; Revelation 3:21)

Doctrinal Summary Statement

We affirm that when the people of Yahweh walk in obedience and expose the works of darkness, they enter into active spiritual conflict. In accordance with the principle that engagement invites resistance, opposition is to be expected. Yet through steadfast faith in Yahshua the Messiah and obedience to Yahweh, the faithful are refined, strengthened, and ultimately made victorious.
(Isaiah 54:17; 2 Thessalonians 3:3; Revelation 12:11)

ACTS 20:7 – First of the Sabbaths, or One of the Sabbaths? Actually it is the Second Sabbath, (today) in the count to Pentecost

A quote from ‘The Catholic Press’, offers the challenge, [“Sunday is a Catholic institution and its claims to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles…From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly worship from the last day of the week to the first.” (Sydney, Australia, Aug. 1900.)]

Eristical polemics will usually persuade one with a seminary-schooled background, or any average Sunday church goer for that matter, to take debate with the above statement made. In order to advocate on behalf of their beloved Sunday gatherings, one of two directions will ensue from this point. The disputer will either enjoin that the Messiah arose from the tomb on Sunday morning or that Paul and the disciples kept Sunday in the New Testament. Let's break these down Scripturally, one at a time.

“Some have tried to build the observance of Sunday upon the Apostolic command, whereas the Apostles gave no command on the matter at all…The truth is, so soon as we appeal to the litera scripta (literal writing) of the Bible, the Sabbatarians have the best of the argument.” -The Christian at Work, April 19, 1883.

Within my field of hands on, up close and personal, prison ministry, it has always amused me to hear prison chaplains try to weasel their way around protecting their Sunday observance and attendance. When someone comes to the knowledge of the truth in prison and wishes to change his faith affiliation, the inmate must fill out a request form and turn it into the chaplain. On more than one occasion, the inmate will return and inform me that the chaplain had coercively asked them, “why do you want to keep the Sabbath, don’t you know that Paul and the disciples kept Sunday?” Wanting to only enlighten these chaplains to the actual truth, I have made follow-up visits to these same men and asked them where their Scriptural claim can be found. Next comes the fumbling of the pages in their bibles around haphazardly for at least 30 seconds before it gets somewhat uncomfortable and I impatiently interject offering, “Are you looking for Acts 20:7?”

“Yes that’s it” comes the reply, and then they dictate the Scripture to me as if to give me the lesson… “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.” At this point I will usually pull out the graphic picture I have designed for this very exercise from behind my back while also then asking them to verify what I have found by getting out their Jay P. Green Interlinear Greek-English New Testament which they usually have in their library. Opening to this verse with my finger under the words within their own interlinear, I’ll read out loud to them in the Greek, “en de tE mia tOn sabbatOn”. I’ll then ask, “ are you aware that this verse has been horribly mistranslated into the KJV from the underlying Received Text of the Greek?” They will always answer with a perplexing but defiant, “No”. I then explain that when honestly translated into English this verse reads, “And on one of the Sabbaths…” In fact, the Jay P. Green undoubtedly translates this verse precisely under the above Greek characters as, “in And the one of the Sabbaths”.

When pointing out that the Greek word #4521 “Sabbaton” is properly rendered “Sabbath”, I’ll also explain that the word “day”, which is Greek word #2250 hemera, appears nowhere in this verse, which is why it is usually italicized. Well did Jeremiah prophesy about this, “false pen of the scribes” -Jer. 8:8, and these Herodian propagandists that added this leavenous word in order to support their Sunday worship. To pull of this heist even further, they also mistranslate the word before the wrongfully inserted “day”, to read “first”. However, this Greek word #3391 is ‘mia’, and means “one”. All one needs to do to verify how, “first day”, is accurately translated is to look across the page at Acts 20:18, “…Ye knew from the first day…” (see also Philippians 1:5). Here, when cross referencing with the interlinear, it’s as clear as “day” that the word, “first”, is from Greek #4413 ‘protos’, while “day” (when it actually does appear in Scripture), is again from Greek #2250 ‘hemera’.

In the book of Acts it has been clearly recorded that Paul and the new Gentile converts were still keeping the 7th Day Sabbath some 20 years after the death and Resurrection of Yahshua. In fact, when looking at the interlinear we find this same Greek word #4521 ‘sabbaton’, translated correctly as “Sabbath” in Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4. In seven of these verses we find Paul keeping this day set apart according to Yahweh’s commandment! Some will ineptly postulate that Paul had to go to The synagogues on the Sabbaths so he could witness to the Jews. However, by reading each of these verses it becomes quite transparent that this was Paul’s time honored custom and he was teaching not just the Jews, but both Gentile’s and Greeks.

While incarcerated, I personally pieced together the chart located in Appendix #4 of Volume 1 (or see PDF version, or photo #1 in comments), by copying each individual selected pages from the above mentioned, Jay P. Green’s, Interlinear Greek-English New Testament, and then cutting and pasting the selected verses the old fashion way, by hand. It certainly is not the cleanest but it is effective nonetheless. By examination of this exhibit, one can verify for themselves, the proofs of these claims with the solid evidence contained within the original Greek manuscript.

The new Gentile converts were even instructed to come and hear the Torah (Moses) being taught on the Sabbath in Acts 15:21. And, contrary to what your Pastor told you, they were also keeping the Sabbath in Acts 20:7 too! Even if it was a Sunday afternoon in Acts 20:7 and Paul was getting in some extra study time with his disciples, how does this one time justify the transference of the etched in stone, 4th commandment to keep the Sabbath, to that of Sunday, when there are still seven (7) other places we just detailed where Paul was indeed keeping the seventh day? After explaining everything that I have just written above to these chaplains, they brush it right off and I’ll see them standing tall and proud the very next Sunday, welcoming all their lost patrons back to their three-ring circus side show. “The truth is the one thing nobody will believe” -George Bernard Shaw. Truly this is the “mystery” that works this iniquity in full force in these final days.

The timing of when Acts 20:7 occurred, seems to have thrown some off from further explaining it correctly. For example, The Restoration Study Bible (RSB), developed by Yahweh's Restoration Ministry (yrm.org) Acts 20:7 footnote reads, [...The Greek text behind this phrase, therefore literally reads, "And upon the first of the Sabbaths," and refers to the first weekly Sabbath in the seven-Sabbath (seven-week) count to Pentecost.] While I do utilize and favor this Sacred Name RSB, even distributing it through my outreach, I do not agree with this note. Dr. E.W. Bullinger proffers the same reasoning, that this was ["the first day of the sabbaths, i.e., the first day for reckoning the seven sabbaths to Pentecost." (Companion Bible.)]

Having thoroughly scrutinized and examined the events surrounding this passage of Acts 20:7, and in light of the more accurate translation of the Greek word #3391 mia, being "one", (not "first"), this was "one of the Sabbaths" in the count toward Pentecost, not the first. Inferential proof of this can be deduced simply by reading Acts 20:6, "And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days." (Philippi to Troas is approximately 130 nautical miles). First of all, just by adding the 5 days plus the 7 days gives us 12 days. Figuring in at least one Sabbath where they would be resting and having a holy convocation, (not traveling) gives us 13 days. This alone proves that this could not have been the first sabbath in the count towards Pentecost as we are, at the least, already 6 days beyond one week (sabbath)!

The following table I have developed (See PDF version or photo comment #2) represents the numerical ordering of the days in the count toward Pentecost. Using this timeline, I believe Acts 20:7 falls on (14), which would be the second Sabbath, not the first, in the seven Sabbath count toward Pentecost. Taking Acts 20:6 literally, we can estimate that, “after the days of Unleavened Bread” [this seven day feast is represented as (a) through (b)], they, “came unto them to Troas in five days” (2-6), kept the first Sabbath in the count toward Pentecost (7), “where they abode seven days” (8-14). It was here on the Sabbath (14), that Paul preached until midnight, “ready to depart on the morrow” -Acts 20:7, which would have been (15) Sunday.

The Hebraic Roots Bible, which translates the New Testament from the Aramaic Pesh*tta, renders Acts 20:7 more precisely as, “And on one of the Sabbaths…” This HRB also offers the following quality footnote for Acts. 20:6 [ “The Holy Days in scripture are used as time markers throughout the bible. It would be inconceivable to do so if they were not keeping these days. Clearly the 7th day Sabbath and the Holy Days were kept during the first century by disciples of Yahshua.”]

The RSB compliments this and adds, [ “The book of Acts offers the most insight into New Testament worship. It reveals the form of worship that the Apostles and those that came afterward adopted and practiced. Contrary to what is seen in modern worship, the Apostles did not adopt a Hellenistic, Greco-Roman faith, Instead, they continued worshiping in the Hebraic tradition as their forefathers before them…there are many occasions in which the Apostles persisted in keeping the weekly seventh day Sabbath…and the annual observances, including: Passover (12:4); Feast of Unleavened Bread (20:6); Pentecost (2:1-4, 20:16); and Atonement (27:9). Nowhere is even one clear instance in the book of Acts where the Apostles worshiped on Sunday as a weekly sabbath day.” (Introduction to Acts, Scriptural Significance, 4th Edition, pg 1690-1691.)]

Specifically, in this 20:7 event in the book of Acts, we return and see in 20:16, Paul “determined” and hurrying to be at Jerusalem so he could keep the day of Pentecost. This day, also called the “Feast of Weeks”, (Hebrew “Shavuot”), always falls on the first day of the week as it is exactly 50 days from the day after the weekly sabbath that falls during the 7 Day Feast of Unleavened Bread. This 50 day count is what gives us the Greek word #4005 ‘pentekoste’

TAKING OFF AND LANDING ON THE CORRECT DAY OF THE RESURRECTION

From the work, Babylon Mystery Religion we read, [“At the Easter season is it not uncommon for Christians to attend sunrise services. It is assumed that such honor Christ because He rose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning, just as the sun was coming up. But the resurrection did not actually occur at sunrise, for it was yet dark when Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and it was already empty.” (p.146, Ralph Woodrow.)]

Do the Scriptures provide proof of this? For those who have studied to show themselves approved rightly dividing the truth, refuting this “alleged” Sunday resurrection is as easy as counting 1-2-3!

This problematic doctrine was one of a mystery to me even as a child. I had learned to count to ten along with the rest of the kids in my class but no matter what the pastor told me I could just not compute, “three days and three nights”, into the equation of a Friday afternoon death/burial and Sunday morning resurrection. I remember one minister even explaining it this way. “Friday is one day, Saturday two and Sunday three.” This explanation never sat well, but I assumed this seminary degree holding man had gone to college to understand these things, so of course he would know more than me.

In these last days prior to the return of Yahshua, the Scriptures prophesy that there must first be a restitution of truth established (Acts 3:21). Jude 1:3 exhorts that “we earnestly contend” for the same faith and belief that was “once delivered to the saints.” This establishment of true and pure worship was also spoke of in John 4:23-24, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship he Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. Yahweh is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth."

In the attempts to obstruct any student from finding this path back to this true worship, perhaps the most effective plan has been to distort the understanding of Yahweh’s Scriptural Calendar and appointed times. The methodical planning of Satan, orchestrated by and through his Church, was to take away both the seventh day Sabbath and seven annual Sabbaths while repeating the lie that they were “only for the Jews” and now done away with. With these foundational landmarks missing, the majority will never be able to put the pieces together, let alone care to even bother questioning these answers. If these days are long gone, why should we waste our time trying to study them?

As the author above briefly alluded, it was not at all Sunday morning when the resurrection occurred. The question however is this, if we can corroborate this conjecture with Scriptural proof, will one be able to take the brave step away in truth, or will they continue to commingle and operate within the company of lies?

DEPARTURE

In order to dismantle this erroneous doctrine, let’s turn directly to the first evangel account given in Matthew 28:1- 10. From the RSB (based off of the KJV) starting in the first verse we read, “In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary.” In verses five and six the angel answers, “Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Yahshua…He is not here: for He Is risen.” The facts at this point are that Yahshua has definitely already risen, but what part of the day is the “end of the sabbath”?

Returning to any honest Interlinear, such as the previously mentioned, Jay P. Green Interlinear Greek-English New Testament, we look first at the phrase, "end of the sab- bath”. The Greek text behind this phrase is, [ “Opse (3796) de (1161) sabbaton (4521).”] Strong’s defines G3796 [through the idea of backwardness; (adv.) late in the day…in the end {1x}, even {1x}, at even {lx}. Opse, “…late, late in the day, at evening”…practically as a noun in Mk.11:11, lit. “the hour being at eventide.” (The New Strong’s Expanded ©2001.)]

The Greek word 'opse' #3796, is only found in two other passages where it is better translated as “even”, being the evening. We find it first in Mark 11:19, “when even (opse) was come…” and again at Mark 13:35, “at even (opse) or at midnight.” In fact Jay P. Green’s ‘Literal Translation’ section renders this justly as, “And at evening (of the) sabbath.” -Mat. 28:1. This phrase has been truthfully expressed by several other reliable translations such as, Rotherham- “In the evening of the Sabbath”; Lamsa- “At the close of the Sabbath”; ASV- “Now late in the Sabbath”; Moffat- “At the close of the Sabbath.”

We find another form of this adverb G #3796 ‘opse’, that being the noun (form) G #3798 ‘opsios’, in Mark 11:11 translated as “eventide”. As defined by ‘Thayers Greek- English Lexicon’, [“Opse followed by a genitive seems always partitive, denoting late in the period specified by the genitive (and consequently still belonging to it.)” (p.471)] This means that ‘opse’ in Mat.28:1, was still belonging to what followed it, (the genitive G #4521 ‘sabbaton’) that being, “THE SABBATH.” In other words [opse + sabbaton] = late in the evening of the Sabbath!

At this point we need to take one step back and first understand that for those who adhere to following the Scriptural day and calendar, days begin and end at sunset. Of course, this reckoning was being done at the time of the Messiah and is still practiced today by those who are keeping the Scriptural Sabbaths. Whether one is keeping a High Day Sabbath, (which is what the seven Annual Feast Day Sabbaths are referred to as), or the seventh day weekly Sabbath, they all begin and end at sunset. Upon reading the account of the Day of Atonement, (the most solemn of these seven High Days), we are provided with the clear instructions in Lev.23:32, “and ye shall afflict souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even to even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath." When one was unclean, he would remain “unclean until even.” -Lev. 22:6-7. Another example is found in Judges 14:12-18, whereupon Samson allowed the men seven days to solve his riddle. Just in the nick of time, they came to him with the answer, “on the seventh day before the sun went down.” -Jud. 14:18. Beginning back at creation, we find that each day started with, “the evening.” “And the evening and the morning were the first, (second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth) day,” -Gen. 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23, 31.

Within our example verse of Mat. 28:1, it was clearly “the evening” at the end of the sabbath. The next section of this verse, “as it began to dawn”, has caused another confusion leading some to estimate that it was in fact the dawning of the morning at sunrise. However, ‘dawn’ here has been translated from the Greek word #2020 ‘epiphosko’ and is better rendered as “to draw on (toward).” We find it translated precisely as just this in Luke 23:54, “And that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drew on (epiphosko).”

An honest translation of Mat. 28:1 provided by James Moffat reads, “At the close of the Sabbath as the first day of the week was dawning [drawing on].” Another valid example is found in the Interlinear Greek-English New Testament written by Dr. George Ricker Berry, “Now late in the Sabbath, as it was getting dusk toward the first day of the week…” Had the writer and translators intended this word to describe the morning sunrise dawn, they would have used Greek word #1306 ‘diaugazo’ which is defined as, [“to glimmer through, i.e. break (as day) dawn. Diaugazo describes the breaking of daylight upon the darkness of night.” (The New Strong’s Expanded)]. We find this word (G #1306) used only one time in 2 Pet. 1:19 describing just that, the “day dawn.”

Adding the evidence we have gathered thus far, we can summarize that it was yet in the evening of the weekly Sabbath in Matthew 28:1, around or near sunset and drawing on toward the first day of the week. It was nowhere near Sunday morning and Yahshua was already risen. Let’s compare to see how our previously referenced Thomas Nelson NKJV fraudulently translates this verse. [“Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn.” -Mat.28:1] The footnote here is at least half true, [“The Sabbath ended at sundown on Saturday. The events of this verse took place at dawn on Sunday morning.” (p.1996, ibid.)] Yes, the Sabbath does end at sundown, but NO it was clearly not the dawn of Sunday morning! Also, if the translators had wanted to project that this was indeed, “after” the Sabbath, then Strong’s Greek word #3326 ‘meta’ would have been used. See: Luke 22:20, “after (meta) supper”; Acts 12:4, “after (meta) Passover”; Acts 20:6, “after (meta) the days of Unleavened Bread.”

ARRIVAL

Having determined Yahshua’s point of Resurrection departure out of the tomb from Mat. 28:1, which provides the clearest details given out of all the evangel accounts, let us now establish His death and entombment arrival. Turning to John 19:31 we find reference to the previously mentioned “High Day” Sabbath. “The Jews, therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the stake on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was a high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and they might be taken away.” -John 19:31. This is precisely the verse the Church calumniously uses to cover the unsuspecting patron’s eyes with wool, in order to pull off their “Good Friday” doctrine. As we said before, a little knowledge of Yahweh’s Feast Days goes a long way, and here, already having this awareness, we are able to see right through this crafted chicanery.

The Issue of the bodies “not remaining” above ground and unburied is clarified when we return to the Torah commands of Deut. 21:23. “His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of Elohim;) that the land be not defiled, which Yahweh thy Elohim giveth thee for inheritance.” (See also: Josh. 8:29, 10:26). This was the reason the Jews went to Pilate, to make sure these bodies could be pulled down and buried before sunset at the days end, as to not defile the land. The breaking of the legs would ensure that the suffering finally ends by way of suffocation. Returning to Mat. 27:45-50, we can determine that around 3pm or, “the ninth hour…Yahshua when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up His spirit.” – Mat. 27:50. (See also: Mark 15:34-37; Luke 23:44-46.)

This ninth hour may seem to be insignificant, but this was exactly the same time as the evening sacrifices found in Exo. 29 and Num. 28. As acknowledged in 1 Cor. 5:7, Yahshua the Messiah was indeed, “our Passover sacrificed for us.” John the Baptist had paved the way for this very, “Lamb of Elohim, which taketh away the sins of the world.” -John 1:29. (See also: 1 Pet. 1:18-20; Rev. 13:8). Upon reading John 19:14, we find direct proof that this indeed, “was the preparation of the Passover”. The Passover is commanded to be kept on the 14th day of the first Scriptural month per Lev. 23:5 and Exo. 12:6. Specifically, the terminology used within Exo. 12:6 prescribes the “whole assembly of the congregation of Israel” to “keep (the lamb) up until the fourteenth day…and… kill it in the evening.”

Since we have already determined that the “Scriptural Day” begins at sunset, we deduce from common sense that this would be the later part of the 24-hour day. Given that the first Scriptural month is around the time of the vernal equinox, (‘equinox’ being defined as: equal day/equal night), this was the evening of the 12-hour daylight period. The ‘International Standard Bible Encyclopedia’, concerning the Passover, states, [“The afternoon was set aside for the ritual slaughtering of the lamb. The offering of the Passover sacrifice at the temple began about 3:00 P.M. (Pesachim v.1)]. This is authenticated also within, The Jamieson, Fawcett and Brown Commentary On The Whole Bible, [“kill it in the evening” -i.e., the interval between the sun’s beginning to decline, and sunset, corresponding to our three o’clock in the afternoon.” (p.63)].

Also fulfilled at this exact sequence of timing was the prophetic requirement of Exo. 12:46 and Num. 9:12, “neither shall ye break a bone thereof.” Remember, when they came to Yahshua they, “saw that He was dead already, they brake not His legs.” John 19:33. “For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A BONE OF HIM SHALL NOT BE BROKEN.” -John 19:36. Yahshua was quickly then taken down, wound in linen, and laid in the new garden sepulcher, John 19:38-42. Having been provided the time of the ninth hour as 3pm, we can estimate this all had to take place before sunset, which we can say was possibly around 6pm. Here we have our point of arrival. If you’re able to count to at least “one”, we can see already that if Yahshua rose at the end of the 7th day Sabbath, sometime prior to 6pm, the duration of time between a "Good Friday" burial has only been 24hrs, or “one day”, thus making it a “Bad Friday”.

It was called "the preparation” in John 19:31, because it was the day before the First High Day Sabbath. Specifically, on this 14th day of the first month, the Passover was the Preparation Day, (the day to prepare for) the First High Day Sabbath of the Seven Day Feast of Unleavened Bread, which according to Lev. 23:6-8, begins on the 15th day. This obviously parallels the Friday preparation day before the 7th day Sabbath, but nowhere in the New Testament is Friday ever referred to as “preparation day.” The Greek word behind ‘preparation’ is Strong’s #3904 ‘paraskeue’. In each of the six places where this word appears as “preparation” in the New Testament, it is exclusively al- ways denoting the High Day Sabbath of the First Day of Unleavened Bread. (See: Mat.27:62; Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54; John 19:14, 31, 42.) We should also note that the weekly 7th Day Sabbath, is also never once referred to as a “High Day” in the entirety of the Scriptures!

Do the Scriptures provide proof elsewhere that “High Day” Sabbaths are specifically only speaking of the Seven Annual Feast Days (moedim), each kept at their appointed time? We find the usage of the word for “High Day” recorded again in John 7:37. However, this time the KJV cleverly translates G3173 ‘megos’ as, “great (day)”, referring to the Last Great (High) Day of The Feast of Tabernacles. This is the same Greek word translated “High Day” in John 19:31.

If you’re already willing to break the clear commands to, “add not to the words…neither diminish from it.” -Deut. 4:2; 12:42, then you clearly will be brazen enough to further your cause through misdirection's and mistranslations. Remember the words of Eusebius? “It is an act of virtue to deceive and lie, when by such means the interest of the church might be promoted.” Let’s look back at our translation full of lies to see what they did here at John 19:31. This translation in Nelson’s NKJV remains truthfully intact, however when we follow the footnote to the bottom of the page we read, [“19:31 -The Preparation Day was Friday, the day before the Sabbath (see v. 14).” (p. 2193, ibid.)]

The Church has once again, given us one partial half- truth, that being that Friday is a preparation day of sorts before the weekly Sabbath, (which is ironic being that we have here the admittance that the seventh day is indeed the one and only Sabbath)… But they use this to only attempt to confuse the timing of Yahshua’s death in order to dissimilate from observing Yahweh’s Commanded 7th Day Sabbath, and to justify the institution of one of their own days of worship, Sunday. After all they need to be able to support their unauthorized change of doctrine somehow.

Looking closer at the actual verse in context we discover the annotation of a small € before the term “high day”, in John 19:31. In what seems to be an almost comical, hid- den in plain sight, “in your face, you’re not smart enough to figure out what we’ve done here…”, we are directed to the center column Scriptural references which actually then points us to turn to [ € - Exo. 12:16; Lev. 23:6-7.] All one would have to do is return to these passages and read for themselves that this “High Day Sabbath”, was not the weekly Sabbath, but again, the High Day Sabbath of the First Day of Unleavened Bread!

If we allow ourselves to be shuffled from the footnote in 19:31 above, we look over to 19:14 and again find an accurate translation, “Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover…”, but once again, another problematic footnote. Here, Nelson’s NKJV provides some additional malformed explanation with their passage that states, [“19:14 – The Preparation Day of the Passover refers to the Friday of Passover week (v.31) …where it seems that Jesus is described as being crucified on Friday…” (p.2192, ibid.)] “Seems”??? What it “seems” is that Nelson has told so many lies he isn’t even sure himself anymore!

As our end time intellect has exponentially increased (Dan 12:4), we have to allow of course for the coinciding equal and opposite reaction to occur, which sadly means, a cognitive decline. This is exacerbated by way of people like these editors at Nelson’s who are working overtime to undermine Biblical truths and clarity, and then repeated by men who actually go to a so called “college”, all so they can further subvert their trusting congregation by parroting these same malicious slanders. In order to counter these measures, let us look past these grifting harlequins and on into Yahweh’s heavens as today's technological advancements within astronomy have enabled us to find the exact timing of this Passover. Since Yahweh’s Holy Days are legislated by the lunar cycle (Gen. 1:14; Psa. 104:19), what does, “the moon as a faithful witness in the heaven,” -Psa. 89:37, tell us?

From the highly recommended in-depth study entitled, He Arose! But When?, we read, [“Scripture says that Passover occurs on the 14th day of the month…Leviticus 23:5, Numbers 9:3, 5. The 14th is at the midpoint of the month, the time of the full moon… In answer to a query about when the full moon occurred in the year 31 C.E. (year our Savior died), the U.S. Naval Observatory determined that the astronomical full moon of Abib that year was Tuesday, March 27th at 1:00 in the afternoon Jerusalem time, Julian calendar. A report by the British Astronomer Royal confirms this day and date. (The Resurrection – When? By Ithamar Quigley, p. 22). After sunset Tuesday evening -when the full moon could be seen -answers to the 14th of Abib. (Recall that new days begin at sunset scripturally.) It became Wednesday that night at midnight, Roman time. As the Passover sacrifice, Yahshua died that Wednesday afternoon.” (p.6, Yahweh’s Assembly in Yahshua, https://www.yaiy.org/literature/HeArose.html )]

Sign of Jonah

Turning the pages back to the 12th chapter of Matthew, and quoting the very words of Yahshua, He provided that the only sign He would give to prove that He was the True Messiah, was the Sign of Jonah. “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whales belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” -Mat. 12:40. If this was the only sign Yahshua gave us, then by all means I think we had better come to terms in understanding this sequence of events! After all, there does allow for the possibility that one could be led to fall short, and into the deception of following a counterfeit messiah who was not in the tomb for this required amount of time. Sounds absurd but this is exactly what has happened.

Sourcing from the sterling booklet, The Three Days and Three Nights, Elder Jerry Healan reminds us, [“How long is a day? Let’s let Yahshua the Master, the Teacher tell us. Let’s not figure it out for ourselves for we may cut it short or extend it. “Yahshua answered, ‘Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world’,” Jn. 11:9. Yahshua is speaking of the day portion, the portion when the sun, the light of this world, is shining so that people may see how to move about. He continues, "But If a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.” Jn. 11:10.

Yahshua, the One through Whom the Father made all things in the beginning, called the light day and the darkness night, Gen.1:4-5. He specifies in John that there are 12 hours in a day, the light portion. It doesn’t take much knowledge in math to figure that if He is to be in the grave for three days, then 3 x 12 = 36 hours for the day portion, the period of light. But He also included three nights.

Now it is no mystery that our solar day (light and darkness, day and night) is a 24-hour period. If there are 12 hours in the day, the light portion, then there are 12 hours for the night, the dark portion. Applying simple math again we get 3 x 12 = 36 hours for the night portion. Yahshua said 3 days (36 hours) and 3 nights (36 hours) so we must combine our figures; 36 hours (day) + 36 hours (night) = 72 hours. Yahshua would be in the grave for a total of 72 hours, 3 days, and 3 nights.

If he was interred on Friday afternoon at 6:00 pm (about sunset) and resurrected on Sunday morning at 6:00 am (about sunrise) then that is only a period of about 36 hours total! It doesn’t compute. But let’s say that it would have begun on Thursday at 6:00 pm (to be liberal). That’s another 24 hours. 24 + 36. = 60 hours. It doesn’t compute. It falls short by 12 hours. The Friday death and Sunday resurrection cannot be true. People are being misled, following a false savior who observes the Friday death (called “Good Friday”. What was good about it?) and the Sunday Morning (Easter, Ishtar, what does a pagan teutonic goddess have to do with it?), resurrection.”]

Author’s note: The good thing about it, for the Church that is, is that this strategic lie is what they conveniently use in order to keep their offering plates filled while you are busy keeping their counterfeit day of worship, Sunday. However, the masses love the lie, they wouldn’t have it any other way! “Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness.” -Psa. 52:2-3. Don’t believe me? Go and tell them these facts and see how quickly they es**rt you out of their presence!

Continuing, [“Yahshua said that Jonah was in the whale’s belly three days and three nights. The book of Jonah says that Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights (Jonah 1:17). The Companion Bible comments concerning this saying, “three days and three nights. The Heb. Idiom ‘three days’ can be used for parts of three days (and even years): but not when the word ‘nights’ is added.” (pgs. 8-10,https://yea777.org/.../The_Three_Days_and_Three_Nights.pdf )]

E.W. Bullinger also writes within Appendix 144 of this same Companion Bible that, [ ‘The Hebrew idiom of a day meaning any part of a day does not apply when the number of nights is included. When evening and morning, or day and night, are used together, a 24-hour period is denoted."]

The Two Sabbaths

Consulting to the account given in Luke 23:54-56, we have here perhaps the clearest depiction contained within the Scriptures to help us understand the fact that there were Two Sabbaths within the week that our Savior was sacrificed for our sins. “And that day was the preparation (Passover), and the Sabbath (First High Day of Unleavened Bread) drew on. And the women also which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher, and how the body was laid.” -Luke 23:54-55.

Having previously proven that the Passover occurred on Wednesday, Abib 14 in this year of 31 C.E., we can easily conclude that following the command, (previously mentioned in Leviticus 23:6-7), the very next day, Thursday, Abib 15, would have been the First High Day of Unleavened Bread. High Day Sabbaths were kept according to the same requirements of the weekly Sabbath wherein no commerce (buying or selling, Neh. 10:31) or work would be done. While we could account that not all inhabitants in Jerusalem were adhering to this Sabbath commandment, these women were certainly obedient to Yahweh’s Covenant Sign, diligently guarding His Sabbaths out of humble meekness and love. “For this is the love of Elohim, that we keep His Commandments: and His Commandments are not grievous.” -1 Jn. 5:3.

“And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.” -Luke 23:56. Contained herein is a pivotal depiction that warrants further elucidation. Firstly, which Sabbath is this speaking of? Secondly, where did they obtain these spices and thirdly, since this describes work being done, on what day could they have prepared the mixture of these spices for the embalming procedure? From this point we need to deliberate upon and combine the specific narrative account given by the witness of Mark 16:1. “And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought (G59) sweet spices, that they might come and anoint Him.” Again, which Sabbath is this speaking of?

Let’s add all of these pieces of this puzzle together. The Greek word translated “bought” in Mark 16:1 is G59 ‘agarazo’ which as Strong’s defines, specifically means, [“properly, to go to market, i.e. (by implication) to purchase; specially, to redeem: buy, redeem.”] Well, how inconvenient for the Good Friday proponents! When exactly could the women have gone to the market to redeem, purchase and then work to prepare these ointments, if they were obedient Sabbath keepers? We obviously also need to take into consideration that 24-hour Walmart’s or the like had not yet appeared on the scene! In the Messiah’s day, markets and shops all customarily closed around the ninth hour (3pm) preceding any Sabbath. Also, let us recall the account given in Nehemiah 13:15-22. This means that on Passover, Wednesday Abib 14, the shops would have closed around 3pm and remained closed the entire next High Day Sabbath of Thursday, Abib 15. The same scenario would be constant for the shops closing at 3pm on Friday Abib 16 and remaining closed for the weekly Sabbath, Abib 17. Mark 16:1 can only count for occurring on Friday Abib 16. Did Yahweh hide this number ‘16’ in plain sight here to signal to us that Mark 16:1 = Friday the 16th of Abib?

Embracing together the honest totality of evidence, the Sabbath in Luke 23:56 would account to be the weekly 7th Day Sabbath, Abib 17. The “Sabbath past”, spoken of in Mark 16:1, clearly is the same “High Day” Sabbath of Thursday, Abib 15 mentioned in Mark 15:42; Luke 23:54 and John 19:31. Mark 16:1 connects the missing link providing the only “working” day that stood between the Two Sabbaths. The prophecy of “three days and three nights”, totaling 72 hours, spoken by Yahshua proving Him to be the True Messiah, conclusively and truthfully only fits into Scripture according to this timeline. Yahshua was long gone before sunrise, that Sunday morning of Abib 18. Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible concludes with the following remark, [“He was put into the grave Wednesday just before sunset and was resurrected at the end of Saturday at sunset. Good Friday should be changed to Good Wednesday. No statement says that he was buried Friday at sunset. This would make him in the grave only one day and one night, proving his own words untrue.”]

To be able to better visualize the sequence of these days, please peruse the chart (IN COMMENTS) as is found within, The Word of Yahweh -3rd Edition, translation of the Scriptures, courtesy of Elder Samuel Graham, (AssemblyofYahweh.com). Again, the reference to “Mark 16:1”, found within the Thursday, Abib 15 column, refers to “the sabbath past”, spoken of in Mark 16:1.

On the other end of this inglorious spectrum, what appears to be methodically systematic, as is often the case, certain “bearded darnel” bibles will attempt to betray their patrons with unscholarly and ignominious charts that portray the very humiliating 36 hour entombment of their false “Christ”. One very colorful bible that does just that is, The New World Translation © 2013, found within their, ‘Appendix B12’, entitled, ‘The final Week of Jesus’ Life On Earth.’ [ https://www.jw.org/.../appen.../jesus-last-week-nisan-12-16/ ] To add further to this perjurious misrepresentation, here is how the JW’s New World (order?) Translation injuriously quotes Mat. 28:1: “After the Sabbath when it was growing light on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to view the grave.”

We will further elaborate upon more errors found within this bible that these “Witnesses” come knocking at your door with, as well as breaking down the very false name they come under, in Volume II, Part 6.
