One thing I notice often with patients is the fear of “what if my ___ isn’t normal?”

Our breasts (as I always say…they’re sisters… sometimes distant cousins, but rarely twins) come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. So do the little bumps around the ni**le called Montgomery glands. And no… they are NOT pimples (don’t you dare pop them lol)

These tiny glands are completely normal and actually super helpful for breastfeeding. They produce a natural oil that:
✨ Lubricates and protects the ni**le
✨ Has antibacterial properties
✨ Helps babies find the ni**le by scent (yes, really!)

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, they become more active reducing soreness, supporting a healthy latch, and keeping ni**le skin soft without the need for harsh soaps or lotions.

Montgomery glands can be big or small, light or dark, flat or raised, a few or many all normal. Breasts aren’t meant to look identical, even to each other.

Your body was designed with layers of support to help you feed your baby. These little glands are just one of the incredible ways it does that.

Your breasts are normal.
Your changes are normal.

I’m so incredibly thankful to be starting this new journey and following a passion that has been growing in my heart for years! 🤍

For those who may not know me yet, let me introduce myself!

Hi! I’m Brittany Frishman, and I’m a single mom to three incredible kiddos. I’ve experienced three completely different pregnancies, births, and postpartum journeys, and each one has taught me something different about motherhood, vulnerability, and the importance of feeling supported.

I remember the calmness and safety I felt when I was so weak after giving birth that a nurse had to help me after using the bathroom. I also remember the fear and self-doubt I felt when I worried I wasn’t producing enough breastmilk for my baby…locking myself in the bathroom and sobbing because I felt like I was failing (spoiler alert I wasn’t failing 🤍)

Those experiences, both the beautiful and the difficult, have shaped me into the provider I am today. They’ve given me an even deeper love, understanding, and compassion for families during such a vulnerable and transformative time.

My hope is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, educated, and never alone. Whether you’re feeling confident, overwhelmed, excited, unsure, or somewhere in between, you deserve someone in your corner. 🤍

I’ve been working in the medical field for nine years and have specialized in maternal-child health and pediatrics since 2020. I became an RN at our local Mary Grimes School of Nursing and continued to pursue higher education where I received my BSN from KU Med. I’m also both an IBCLC and Doula! I am so excited to bring lactation and doula services to our community through my private practice.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me drawing, reading, spending time with my kiddos, or behind my camera as a photographer. Life definitely keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’m so excited for this next chapter and, most importantly, for the opportunity to meet you, hear your stories, and help build more resources and support for families in our community.

Thank you for being here and following along as this journey begins! 🤍

It has been on my planner of goals for quite a while, and I am so excited to finally see it coming together!

I officially have Brittany Frishman LLC established as I begin building my private practice offering lactation and doula services!

I cannot contain my excitement as I work toward bringing more options for compassionate, evidence-based maternal care to our community. Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding has always been a passion of mine, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to expand the way I can serve my community 🤍

I am still working behind the scenes getting consent forms, patient portals, and all the little details ready but this dream is becoming a reality, and I couldn’t be more excited! ✨

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. I cannot wait for what’s ahead! 🤍
