The Great Flare burned the world to its bones, turning cities to husks and the land to dust. In the endless desert that remains, Serah survives as a scavenger, trading in unearthed relics for daily rations. Her most valuable possession is a bone necklace her mother tied around her neck the day Serah’s family sold her to a desert tribe. The mysterious necklace leads Serah to the buried tomb of Firaz, a djinn warrior cursed into a metal exoskeleton.

Freeing Firaz binds Serah to him in a dangerous tether, entwining their fates and forcing them to race across the wastelands to recover his scattered bones. As they journey across a desert ruled by warlords, bone-hunters, and ancient magic, their bond deepens into something neither expected, including startling revelations about their shared past.

But love is a dangerous thing in a dying world, and every step toward saving Firaz might bring Serah closer to losing everything.
