Thrive Thrive is a tutoring and child development support service for children aged 4-10 and their families. in elementary education (Special Education endorsement).

Tutoring is offered for math and reading, child development support services are available for social skill development and Special Education consulting Dr. Aryn Kruse has a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies (Early Childhood Special Education) from Iowa State University, M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (Special Education emphasis), and B.S. Dr. Kruse is licensed as a Master Educator

in the state of Iowa for K-8 special education teaching (Instructional Strategist 1) and Special Education Consultation. Thrive tutoring changed to a play-based enrichment model in 2022. The focus is not on direct skill instruction. Children receive direct skill instruction at a robust-level during their school experiences...and some children need that AND more opportunities for connections to stories through play, art, music, drama, and science to foster a love � for reading � and literature. Thrive is coming back for Summer 2022! But the delivery model is getting a MAKEOVER!
It's no longer Thrive tutoring but Thrive ENRICHMENT for kiddos who: 1. Are struggling with reading 2. and/or struggle with the like and love of reading.
I've experienced far too many children who are exhausted by the end of the day from struggling with skill and drill reading practices that I just can't put them through that anymore during their "time off" from school. It's demotivating for them (and me). I want to help boost their love of learning and love of stories through play, art, music, and connections to science experiments. Enrichment programs will be designed for one week enrollments at a time through individual and small group experiences. I may even experiment with a week of "day camp" for 3rd-5th graders. Keep an eye out for more details about the summer schedule!!! And get excited!!!
