🎓 Last week, we celebrated an incredible milestone at graduation on the campus of Butler University at Hinkle Fieldhouse!

We are especially proud to recognize the graduation of the very first online pathway cohort from the Butler University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.

Congratulations to all of our graduates from the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, and especially to our campus and online pathway students representing the Pharmacy Class of 2026! Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have brought you to this moment, and we are so proud of each of you.

🏆 The Hageboeck Award was presented to Dr. Veronica Vernon in recognition of her outstanding dedication, mentorship, and impact on our student pharmacists.

💊 The Outstanding Pharmacy Practice Professor Award was presented to Dr. Lauren Czosnowski for excellence in teaching and commitment to student success in pharmacy practice education.

🧪 The Outstanding Pharmacy Science Professor Award was presented to Dr. Stephanie Enz for inspiring students through excellence in pharmaceutical sciences education.

Thank you for the lasting impact you continue to make on our students and the Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences community. Congratulations on these well-deserved honors!

Today we'd like to congratulate Dr Caleb Class on his promotion to Associate Professor. When asked about his work, they said:
"From one-on-one research meetings to large lectures, the students always brighten my day. I’m excited to use this promotion to expand my student-driven research in precision medicine for depression, play more games in class, and make more dumb YouTube videos about data visualization."

For this month, please join us as Matthew Stall presents their work on WHO biowaivers and enteric capsule drug dissolution testing, as well as a general update for Dr Fadda’s lab. Dialogue and discussion is encouraged at these events, please attend if you’re able and interested.

Congratulations to the 16 P1-P3 Pharmacy students, staff, and faculty who participated in our inaugural Pharmacy Trek to Boston. During a busy few days, they networked with industry professionals, visited several pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and had time to take in the local sights. This is but one of many opportunities we try to provide to give our students a leg up once they graduate.

Today's preceptor highlight is of Dr. Monica Leriger. They currently work for Eventus WholeHealth, and wanted to share their thoughts and advice for our current students. If you have any professionals that you would like to highlight, please send us a message and we'll share their story as well

Today we'd like to celebrate our very own Madeline O'Rourke. Although they are a soon to earn their doctorate in pharmacy, they've accomplished much beyond that. Through the Colts, they've traveled to Germany and Korea; and they've received the Tenacity Award due to them pursuing both NFL cheering and pharmacy school. While succeeding at both as well.

"I am so thankful that I have the support from both the Butler University Pharmacy Program and the Indianapolis Colts Cheer Team. I truly would not be at this point without either of them. I am honored to be back for a third season with Colts Cheer and to be graduating from Butler with my doctorate in May!" -Madeline

Welcome to the new Health Sciences Friday Focus event series: an intentional space dedicated to community building, career exploration, professional preparation, and scholars exchange.
