Pathway to Water Quality

We all live in a watershed and what we do each day impacts our soil & water quality.

Pathway to Water Quality is a model watershed exhibit at the Indiana State Fair showing how land “sheds” water or drains to a common place such as a river or stream. Pathway to Water Quality is sponsored by The Indiana Conservation Partnership, a collaboration of eight state, federal and nonprofit organizations dedicated to conservation: http://www.iaswcd.org/icp/index.html.

People are flowing to the newest exhibit at PWQ (see what we did there?!)

Mike Dunn and Joe Schmees with The Nature Conservancy in Indiana discuss the new drainage water management system to representatives of the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust during today's tour through PWQ.

The Trust has a specific focus on environmental initiatives, with a primary emphasis on critical waterways in Arizona and Indiana. Here in Indiana, that translates to partnering with organizations like TNC on innovative projects to protect and restore these waterways.

Thank you for your continued commitment to improving our water quality!

DYK?! Mulch keeps soil cool, locks in water, blocks weeds and feeds the earth as it breaks down. In an urban garden, it's a simple way to help your plants and the planet thrive!
