Each year a group of amazing makers make to give back.
This year a bunch of us chose to support an amazing group helping survivors through wilderness and nature by providing the essentials to find yourself while getting lost exploring.
This is my piece. American Bison.
Climb 4 will@be auctioning it off later this year.

Took a gorgeous slab of spalted maple and made a live edge set of shelves.
There were a few soft areas so I treated with penetrating epoxy. It worked like a dream.
Hand treaded gas pipe assembly and the thing weights a ton but feels rock solid.

What do you think??!!?? Sneak peak into what I have been working on recently.
Was asked to make a family crest for a friend. Spent way to much time learning about them to come to the realization that the symbols of the crest give it meaning but at the end of the day it is still the art. And as such each one even from the same family will be different. So I decided to reinvent the Ellis family crest.
