Gun Violence Awareness Month 🧡✨

We stand in this work because too many families have been forever changed by gun violence, and every story reminds us why we show up. This mission is rooted in love, remembrance and the belief that no one should have to walk through this kind of pain alone.

We honor the lives lost, and today we especially honor Raymond K. Jones—a father, husband, and brother—whose memory continues to be a guiding light in this work. His life is the reason this mission exists, and his legacy lives on through every act of service, every family supported, and every step toward change.

We remain committed to creating spaces of healing, awareness and action within our communities. This is not just a month of reflection for us—it is a continued promise to do the work that helps save lives and support those impacted.

We are deeply grateful for our team, whose dedication, compassion, and heart keep this mission moving forward every single day.

In honor of every life taken too soon, we continue to stand, serve, and advocate for change.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Gun Violence Awareness Month 🧡✨

This cause is deeply personal to our organization, and we are honored to use our platform to raise awareness and inspire change. Throughout the month of June, our CEO, Whitney Jones, will be sharing her personal story of losing her father to gun violence at the age of nine, along with speaking at several community events.

We are grateful for every opportunity to educate, advocate and honor the lives impacted by gun violence. Together, we can be a voice for healing, hope, and prevention.

🧡🕊️

At The Raymond K. Jones Foundation, we are heartbroken and deeply disturbed by the continued acts of gun violence impacting communities across our nation.

Behind every headline is a family forever changed. A mother grieving. A child missing. A community trying to make sense of unimaginable loss.
This is more than a moment of silence, this is a call to action.

Our mission has always been to support families impacted by gun violence through resources, advocacy, and community care. Now more than ever, that work is urgent.

We cannot normalize this.
We cannot become desensitized.
We cannot look away.

We stand with every family grieving today and we remain committed to being a source of support, healing and hope.

If you or someone you know has been impacted by gun violence, you are not alone.

🕊️ Join us in being part of the solution.
Share this message. Start the conversation. Support the work.

Whitney Jones is one of countless Americans whose loved ones have been stolen by gun violence. To honor her father’s legacy, Whitney started the Raymond K. Jones Foundation—a non-profit dedicated to supporting families impacted by gun violence.

“We strive to transform grief into action,” shared Whitney.

We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Anthony Pearson Jr, who unfortunately lost his life to senseless gun violence on 06/29/2025.

Anthony had a magnetic personality, a bright smile, and an entrepreneurial spirit. He was a proud member of the Gamma Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Above all, he was a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Avery.

We would like to thank our partners, sponsors & in-kind donors for your support. Through your kindness and generosity we are able to fulfill our mission by providing financial support to the family through our Legacy of Love Program.

Please keep the family in your prayers, during this difficult time 🖤💫
