Hutto ISD Digital Media instructor 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻 has been named the 𝗖𝗧𝗔𝗧 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 for the state of Texas!

After being nominated and selected as the Area IV CTAT New Teacher of the Year, Mr. Hennington advanced to the state level, where he was chosen from nominees representing CTAT areas across Texas.

This recognition reflects his creativity, dedication to students and commitment to preparing future-ready learners through Career and Technical Education.

Mr. Hennington will now have the opportunity to advance to the regional level through ACTE, representing Texas alongside educators from Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Louisiana.

Congratulations, Mr. Hennington! Hippo Nation is proud of you. 🦛

Congratulations to our students who visited Washington DC for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. HMS and GAMS each had 3 kids make the 10 and GAMS had one student getting 2nd in the nation. Each event had over 100 competitors. Way to represent Hipponation!!!

As we welcome one team home, we send another team off to the VEX Robotics World Championships in St. Louis. The magnitude of this competition is difficult to grasp. Hutto High School is super proud of Johnny Gutierrez for winning 2nd Place in Action Skills at the SkillsUSA TX State Competition. During this event, contestants show their technical ability and communication skills using visual aids, tools, and demonstrations.

At 4:30 am this morning, the Hutto High School Robotics team ventured off to the “Gateway to the West”, aka St. Louis, Missouri for the VEX Robotics World Championship. Team 78634E, Discount Toasters, will battle against the top robotics teams from across the globe. We wish you the best of luck. Way to go Hutto Robotics!!! (fyi: they made it safely to their hotel at about 7:00pm)
