Your vocal folds need steady hydration to stay flexible and perform. 2. 🗣️Wake the Voice Up with SOVTs – think lip bubbles, straw phonation, humming. THEN hit targeted exercises that train what you actually need—range, agility, breath control, whatever your voice is begging for. 3. ✂️ Practice in Micro Sections – Stop singing the whole song over and over. Take 1 phrase, 1 tricky spot, 1 transition and drill it with intention. Then move on. That’s how you build killer consistency. I love this quote so much and feel like it resonates with me as a voice teacher and singer. Every time I step into a lesson or stand behind a mic, I feel it. That quiet nudge to be a little braver. To keep going. To sing from the truest part of myself—even when it’s scary. Passion doesn’t wait for perfection. It waits for courage. So today, I’m choosing to show up. Fully, boldly, imperfectly.

Our recent studio recital reminded me of this so clearly. Every student stood up there with heart, grit, and such raw beauty in their voices. I was (and still am!) in awe of their growth and courage. They showed up as well as shined ♥️

Finally finished the custom bags I’ve been making for my wonderful students! Some of them have already gotten theirs, but these past two weeks were so crazy busy that I had to put a few on hold. Now that things have calmed down, I’m excited to get the rest of these sparkly beauties out!

I’m especially excited to work with both my returning students and the new voices joining the studio this year. Each bag was made with lots of love and a touch of glitter—just like the amazing voices that will fill my studio this year. I love working with everyone and seeing the progress ❤️
