βοΈ The scales are open!
From now until Labor Day, Alabama Extension is challenging every county to grow and donate at least 250 pounds of fresh produce! This can be to a food bank, community kitchen, place of worship, or even family and friends.
The 67th annual Scouting Short Course is coming in June. To help row crop farmers achieve greater success, Alabama Extension experts will provide best management practices for pest and disease management.
βFarmers have always had to deal with bugs and diseases damaging their crops,β said Scott Graham, an entomologist with Alabama Extension. βWhile that reality doesnβt change, we do find new and better ways to handle those issues every year. Thatβs why Alabama Extension has hosted this scouting course for more than six decades and why we hope farmers will participate.β
The Scouting Short Course will be offered in five locations in June. Read more and register at www.aces.edu/go/6369.
