Julianna, a direct descendant of James & Jane Conley, hails from the Paschal Conley Sr. branch of the Conley Family, one of the family's most prestigious, it includes brother and sister Quartermaster Paschal Conley Jr. and Sallie Ann Conley Thornton, World War One vet Charles Hamilton Conley, Sadie Irene Scruggs, Phyllis Vannah MacLeod and her sons David Paul MacLeod (1948-2002) and Kenneth Raymond Macleod (1949-1984), tireless family historians Diane Gregg Morin and Michael Proulx, and Georgia Tech softball star Naomi Dickerson.

In the age of social media and overexposure, we measure ourselves in generations, not likes. Our youngest family members are the 10th Generation or 'G10' Conleys.

The Conley Family has a 200-year-tradition legacy of horse boarding and breeding for Presidents and Heads of State. Here, the prize show horse 'Great Katherine' which U.S. President Ronald Reagan purchased, after seeing Conley Davis and daughter Michele present.

Presidents' Day is a reminder that the Conley Family saga began with John Oldham Connally and his son hosting Presidents Jackson, Monroe and Polk. Connally's son, James Conley, trained as a professional horse groom, served as Chief Equerry, greeting the each President, before taking the reins of their horses, and leading to the stables where his equestrian staff would care for the animals and keep them ready for events.

Our spotlight on Paschal 'Pony' Conley continues. Long confused with his 1st cousin Sgt. Quartermaster Paschal Conley, Paschal Pony was a gentleman farmer in Madison County, Alabama. He was also co-founder of Meridianville Baptist Church, and donated the land for its establishment.

Tennessee Tech volleyball star AYANNA RODGERS is a 'G8' or 8th Generation Conley.
