💘 We are just a few short weeks away from the debut of our first production, our Theater For Young Audiences — Shakespeare in Love & War. Brought to life by an incredible company of actors from FPCTA and Alabama A&M University!

📌 This production is a part of our workforce development partnership with AAMU. Our workforce development program offers professional opportunities for students and alumni of AAMU. Artistic Director Stephen Tyler Davis works closely with Assistant Professor Jill C**n to create a curriculum that is the perfect blend of teaching foundational skills inside the classroom and developing young artists to prepare them for the first paid professional contract. This partnership is a commitment to workplace development and creating the next generation of artists here in Huntsville and beyond.

💡 Did you know that one of the key visual elements for The Little Mermaid is based on the Sand Island Light? This lighthouse is located at the southernmost part of Alabama, at the mouth of Mobile Bay!

When a sailor’s old bicycle is tossed into the sea, Pearl discovers a “machine of machines” and becomes determined to understand it.

Pearl, the youngest daughter of Queen Neptuna, is curious about the human world above and fascinated by the strange machines humans create. When a sailor’s old bicycle is tossed into the sea, Pearl discovers a “machine of machines” and becomes determined to understand it. Granted legs for a day, Pearl must visit land to learn what the humans are doing to pollute her waters and discover how she can help them save the GlamourSea before it is too late. With courage, curiosity, science, and a whole lot of heart, this Little Mermaid proves one little step can help change the tide. A colorful mash-up of a turn-of-the-century Mobile Bay 1880s coastline and a glamorous “under the sea” 1980s prom, this new adaptation of the classic tale by Hans Christen Anderson is a pure delight!
