This morning I asked my son what he wanted to learn this school year. He said “I think I want to get better at drawing characters and I want to learn Japanese.” Whoa! Proud mom moment. Not just because his dad and I are anime nerds but because he really gave it a lot of thought. We reached out to some groups for suggestions and this was an overwhelming recommendation.

And now I’m off to find where we can learn Japanese.

Power Pods are an innovative and safe way for kids to socialize and play while practicing social distancing. They are available at Arsenal BJJ on Governors Drive for the first 9 weeks of school to support virtual learning and homeschool families.

The 3-hour pods are a combination of unconventional study hall with physical activity, presentations, movies and games. Pods are supervised by a teacher’s aide and players can do their work or play games with others followed by a unique physical activity such as dance, drama or yoga.

Who are the Power Pods for?
Ages 9-14
Homeschoolers and Virtual Learners

Schedule:
AM Pods 9am-12pm
PM Pods 1pm-4pm
