(TL;DR: We played at a wedding! We're available for gigs! ππΆ)
The Rest of the Story: When Gwen and I (Stephanie) were acquainted in the Huntsville Youth Orchestra during high school (a cool 15+ years ago), little did we know that one day our husbands and sons would connect at Trail Life Scouts, which would lead in a roundabout way to us playing at several beautiful weddings lately, and we decided we wanted to make it "a thing." π I've truly enjoyed playing in various and diverse groups over the past decade, but I've also prayed for a friend to make music with who was in a more similar life stage: a home-schooling wanna-be-homesteader mama-of-five just can't play at the same level of intensity as a single 20-something or an empty-nester retiree! God answered that prayer by re-connecting us with the Gammon family, who not only have five kids, but they also Classically home-school AND have a homestead out here in Lacey's Spring! Isn't the Lord amazing?? π So when Gwen asked me if I'd like to join her for our first wedding gig a couple years ago, I jumped at the chance. And now that we have the makings of a repertoire, we're "putting ourselves out there" for more gigs, wedding or otherwise. So if you have an event coming up that would be enhanced by a couple of string players with a cool story, let us know! We'd love to add to YOUR story with a bit of music.
