The Huntsville City School System hosted a Historic STEM Event on February 8, 2023. In the video linked below, a few remarks from A&M's president, Dr. Daniel. K. Wims was captured. AAMU provided five STEM stations with hands-on demonstrations, exhibits, and mentor engagement.

Officials from Alabama A&M University performed two ribbon-cutting ceremonies just before the Thanksgiving holiday to formally unveil the new event facility.
The Office of Admissions, conference rooms, another campus unit, a Chick-fil-A, and the southeast portion of the Meridian Street and Chase Road crossroads will all be housed in the Welcome Center.

AAMU-BANK OF AMERICA TO HOST CYBERSECURITY EVENT
Alabama A&M University and Bank of America will jointly host a Future Workforce and Cybersecurity Industry Forum on campus Wednesday, November 9. The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Clyde Foster Auditorium of the College of Business and Public Affairs complex.
The forum will gather University, business and industry representatives for brief presentations that will showcase the efforts and technology of Bank of America in the ever-developing arena of cybsersecurity. The forum is being undergirded by support from the AAMU RISE Foundation and the Division of Research and Economic Development at AAMU. In addition to AAMU officials, faculty and students, the forum is also fostering the participation of business leaders in the cybersecurity industry throughout North Alabama.
Attendees will receive industry insights within the cybersecurity and defense industries that will be beneficial to University and company participants, according to Dr. Majed El-Dweik, vice president of AAMU's Division of Research and Economic Development.
Moreover, organizers are reaching out to higher education institutions within the North Alabama region, including Calhoun Community College, J. F. Drake State Technical College, Athens State University, the University of North Alabama and others as well as the University's own Computer Science and Cybersecurity Department in these efforts.

Alabama A&M University in partnership with Bank of America (BoA) will host a Future Workforce and Cybersecurity Industry Forum on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. The forum will be held in the Clyde Foster Multi-Purpose Room on the campus of AAMU.
The forum will feature guest speakers from Bank of America namely, Steve Moiles, Director PRSN, Sarah Prewitt, Director, Structure Credit, Chris Patty, Sr. VP Global Commercial Banking.
The purpose of the forum is to build networking opportunities between AAMU faculty, staff, students, and industry professionals. Cybersecurity subject matter experts from local colleges and universities will also be in attendance. Maximum participation is encouraged and the public is invited to attend.

A new partnership between Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) and Alabama A&M University (AAMU) has been launched; it is in line with SRC's diversity and inclusion strategy for community outreach and recruitment initiatives. SRC agreed to contribute $165,000 so that AAMU could better serve the needs of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences students.

Alabama A&M University physicists have been awarded nearly $3 million by the U.S. Department of Energy - National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
The $2.83 million award will fund a five-year consortium project starting this month. The consortium, titled "MSIPP Partnership for Radiation Studies (PaRS)," is led by Dr. Stephen Babalola, an assistant professor of physics. Dr. Padmaja Guggilla, interim chair of the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and Dr. Jonathan Lassiter, program manager are Co-PIs on the grant. The PaRS consortium consists of Fisk University, Savannah River National Laboratory, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as its other partners.
