Are you all set for summer? We're normally last-minute people, but when it comes to summer, we have to think MONTHS ahead so we can have our summer writing program ALL. SET. UP. And ready to go by June 20th.
This is a picture of my (Carrie's) daughter Anna four years ago at camp. Camp actually STARTED the year she was born, so this little girl has literally grown up at writing camp.
And now, as a sophomore in high school, she's a strong writer and coming back to camp as a writing coach!
This same story belongs to so many children in the Salt Lake Valley who have grown up at writing camp. Each summer, they are a little bit taller and even more skilled with their pens on the page!
It's a beautiful tradition that raises up children to become strong writers, a skill that often gets the short side in a busy school classroom. It's the summer boost kids need to learn writing the way it's meant to be taught.
Join us at Westminster College, June 20th-23th for our 16th annual writing camp. It's an excellent way to get a jump start on your summer plans!

Our latest Writer's Box has children writing (and solving!) all sorts of mysteries. There's the "Mystery of the Locked Gate," the "Mystery of the Missing Cupcake," and the "Mystery of the Empty Chalkboard" just to name a few!
The thing that makes the Writer's Box different is that we've cracked the code on how to make writing FUN for kids. Parents come to us because they want to make writing "fun again" for their kids and help them actually BECOME writers.

As moms, we learn to get good at keeping our eyes looking ahead.
We need to be ready for the next birthday, the next project, the next play date, the next holiday!
In our minds, when it’s March, it’s practically summer! We get things that matter right on the calendar!
Writing camp is one of them. June 13-17 in person at Westminster and June 20-22 online in our Zoom rooms.
We will take your child to the next level in writing and set them up on a journey for success. This kind of work needs a spot on the family calendar!

One lesson we’ve learned
the past two years is: take nothing for granted!
Our camera rolls are filledwith scenes like this one from over a decade of summer writing camps.
That’s over a decade of kids writing with old and new friends outside under the trees of Westminster College just like this picture.
But we’ve learned that scenes like this aren’t so easy to come by.
Everyday a gift!
We are so grateful we can offer camp live and in person. We are also grateful that we learned how fun and powerful online camp can be.
This summer we get to offer both. It’s such a gift!
