THE HEARTBEAT OF A FALCON IS STRONG! 💙

What a way to kick off the 2026–27 school year! Our Opening Staff Convocation brought the Falcon Family together for a morning full of energy, inspiration, and Falcon pride.

We celebrated the people who make Lower Dauphin special, from recognizing staff for their years of service to hearing encouraging words from Superintendent Dr. Milbrand and Board President Robbie Hill.

Then the Falcon spirit really took flight!🔥 Crystal and Skyler, her African Lanner Falcon, made a special appearance, our cheer team brought the energy with an incredible routine, and our football and cheer teams got the crowd fired up with some Falcon swag!

Today was all about one thing: getting our hearts beating as one for our students, our schools, and an incredible year ahead.

The heartbeat is strong. The Falcons are ready. LET’S GO! 💙

📢 District Buildings Closed Tuesday Morning 📢

On Tuesday, August 18, all Lower Dauphin School District buildings will be closed to the public during the morning as our staff comes together for our annual Opening Day gathering to kick off the new school year.

Normal afternoon hours will resume.

We’re excited to bring our Falcon family together, start the year strong, and get ready to welcome our students back on Tuesday, August 25!

BUS ROUTES: Bus routes for the 2026–27 school year are now LIVE in Stopfinder!

📅 Families can now check their child’s bus information, with routes beginning with the first day of school on Tuesday, August 25.

As we head into a new school year, we ask everyone to please be patient with our buses and transportation team, especially during the first few days as students, families, and drivers get settled into new routines.

ENDING SUMMER STRONG: Our Jump Start and Summer Reading Academy students had a special surprise for the Lower Dauphin School Board last night! ✨

The students worked together to design a banner and presented it as a heartfelt thank you to the district for continuing to provide these programs and supporting their learning over the summer.

Thank you to our students, families and staff who make programs like these possible.

🚧IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES/ATHLETICS UPDATE: We want to provide our community with advance notice to review the updated parking and traffic procedures before they take effect.

Beginning Aug. 17, new parking and traffic procedures will be in place for all after-school activities, athletic events and community events at the Lower Dauphin Middle School campus.

Please review the attached map before visiting campus. It outlines designated parking areas, traffic flow and campus access during construction.

These changes are in place to help ensure the safety of students, families, staff and visitors. Vehicles parked in any unauthorized location will be towed starting August 17.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue investing in our district's future.

The Lower Dauphin Youth Cross Country Program is back this fall for students in Grades 1–6!

📅 Program Dates: Sept. 2, 9, 16 & 24
🏁 Youth Race of Champions: Saturday, Sept. 26
🕕 Time: 6–7 p.m.
🌟 All skill levels welcome!

From fun workouts and team-building games to outdoor adventures, young runners will build confidence, make new friends, and discover a love for running in a fun, encouraging environment.
