Reminder that the deadline to sign up is quickly approaching! I have 9 students who has expressed interest! I need to have some solid numbers so that I can reserve a large enough vehicle!

Iola High School is hosting an ACT Prep Class on January 26 from 8:00-1:00. The cost is $55. Students can bring their own lunch or purchase a lunch from the school. Please reach out to Mrs. Huffman by January 19th for a link if interested. Thank you IHS for the invitation!

17 Seniors have completed their FAFSA for the 2023-24 school year! Even if you know your family will not qualify for grants, the FAFSA is still important for federal loans and scholarship opportunities! Last year we had 82% of our seniors complete the application and this year I am hoping for an increase!

Fun Fact: your high school counselor and nurse are both CPR instructor certified. Some students took advantage of that and spent some after school time Wednesday to get certified. Out of all of the classes I’ve taught the last 2 years, this one was the most enjoyable! These students were excited to learn, asked lots of questions, and were even more eager for some hands on practice!

September 16th was day. Humboldt High School teachers and staff shared with students why they applied to college!

Apply Kansas is coming up next Wednesday, 10/12. During ELP our students will be applying to colleges all over the state! Students please be prepared by knowing your Social Security Number, bring your Driver’s License and a form of payment if your application requires a fee!
