Congratulations to our Hoxie High Track and Field!

📣Congratulations to the Women’s Team for winning the MCL Meet this past Thursday at Smith Center. Both teams worked hard and had some great performances and big PR’s. On to Regionals this coming Friday at Inman!

Camryn Gourley of Hoxie broke two school records Friday at the Quinter Invitational track meet.

Gourley set a new 100-meter hurdles record with a time of 14.56, breaking her previous mark, then returned shortly after to establish a new 100-meter record at 12.32. The previous 100-meter record of 12.46 was held by Carly Spresser (Heim).

Hoxie’s Camryn Gourley made a statement in her freshman season, emerging as one of the top young hurdlers in Kansas 2A. She captured a state title in the 300 hurdles with a 45.74 and followed it up with a runner-up finish in the 100 hurdles, while also placing in both the 100m and 200m. With PRs of 15.12 in the 100 hurdles and 45.75 in the 300s, Gourley has already proven she can compete at a high level across multiple events.

She also wasted no time rewriting the record books, setting the school record in the 300 hurdles and tying the 200m record as a freshman, while gaining national-level experience at the AAU Junior Olympics. “I am super excited going into my sophomore year of track. I’m ready to come out even stronger this year. I have lots of goals for this season including breaking our school's 100 hurdle record which was set in 1979.”

With a strong start to her high school career and plenty of room to grow, Gourley is a name to watch as she continues to build momentum in the hurdles and beyond.
