Today is Denim Day, an international movement to combat victim blaming and harmful myths about consent. UHD Library staff wore denim to show our support against sexual violence and as a protest against the 1999 Italian court ruling that suggested tight jeans implied consent.

Denim Day is tomorrow, April 29th. Wear denim to support survivors of sexual violence and promote awareness and education.

Why denim? "The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court to overturn a r**e conviction because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who r**ed her remove them, thereby implying consent."

Denim Day Wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate yourself about sexual assault.

For our evening students: Finals Snack Attack
