This week stretched me in ways I did not expect.
Personally, it was heavy. Emotions were high, and I found myself navigating new normals.
Professionally, I completed my first in person and virtual trainings with my new company.
This week reminded me that two things can be true.
Life can feel emotionally draining and still be beautifully affirming.
I received great feedback from my sessions. I am standing in rooms I once prayed to be in. I am grateful, despite the story my anxiety sometimes tries to tell me.
Growth is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like quiet resilience and consistent preparation.
No small wins.

From classroom coloring sheets of Dr. Kingā¦
to standing in my purpose years later.
Sharing a birthday with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has always felt symbolicābut this year, turning 33, it feels intentional.
This past week I had the privilege of visiting Arizona for work and I extended my trip for a birthday celebration. This gave me space to reflect deeperāon legacy, impact, and who Iām becomingā¦
Iām grateful for where Iāve been.
Iām grounded in where I am.
Iām open to new beginnings.
Cheers to my new year š„ š š

Teachers are TIRED.
Not the āI need coffeeā tired.
The deep-in-your-soul, āI donāt know how Iāll make it to winter breakā tired.
Weāve hit that point in the school year where:
ā” The ānew year energyā has faded
š Demands have increased
šØ Student behavior is spiking
ā³ The countdown to the last day has already begun
But what if surviving isnāt the goal?
What if we could actually rebuild our energy, emotional resilience, and sense of purpose mid-yearānot just recover afterward?
Thatās exactly why I created the RENEW Frameworkāa restorative, research-backed wellness model designed specifically for educators at this critical point in the school year.
This is not another āself-careā reminder.
RENEW helps educators:
R ā Regulate Their Nervous System
E ā Establish Energy Boundaries
N ā Nourish with Micro-Rest
E ā Elevate Their Mindset
W ā Witness Gratitude & Wins
š Launching This November
Iām releasing a professional development session aligned to the RENEW Frameworkādesigned to restore educators in real time.
Youāll have two options:
ā
Download & Present (ready-to-go PD slide deck + script + handouts)
ā
Live Facilitation (let me do the work and bring RENEW directly to your staff)
This isnāt fluff.
This is the science of educator sustainabilityādelivered in a way thatās actionable, healing, and immediately applicable.
If your campus is already feeling the mid-year slump, now is the moment to interveneānot in January when burnout has already taken root.
šš¾ Drop āRENEWā in the comments or DM me to be the first to access the session overview and booking details.
Letās not wait for burnout to become a crisis.
Letās RENEW.

š Celebrating the Original Ms. Grant š
When I became an educator, it felt surreal being called Ms. Grantābecause to me, there has only ever been one: my grandmother. The shoes she walked in as an educator were not just bigāthey were historic.
She was the first in our family to graduate from college, then went on to earn her masterās degree and nearly complete her PhD. With more than 40 years in education and leadership, she is still actively involvedāyou can find her in classrooms or speaking up in board meetings. And if weāre at the grocery store, itās guaranteed that someone will stop us to say, āYour grandma was my ___ grade teacher.ā
She has overcome illness, adversity, and every life challenge with grace, strength, and unshakable faith. She is a living testimony of Godās loveāand a true example of how educators donāt just teach, they transform lives.
Even now, in my 30s, I am still being poured into by her love, her wisdom, and her unwavering belief in me and my son.
Her journey reminds us that education is more than a professionāit is a legacy. Her dedication to learning, service, and leadership is the heartbeat of inTEACHional.
š Happy 79th Birthday, Grandma. Thank you for paving the way.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to be both a vendor and sponsor at an amazing event in Houston centered around educators and wellness. š
Whatās wild is ā it all started with a cold email. I reached out to Tye from (huge shoutout!) and decided to just⦠show up.
To be transparent, itās not always easy for me to talk about myself ā especially when it comes to sharing my business. But Iāve learned that growth only happens when we step outside our comfort zones.
For me, the confidence doesnāt come from feeling 100% ready. It comes from believing in the impact I want to make ā creating spaces where educators can nurture their mental health, reconnect with their purpose, and sustain their passion for teaching. š±
Thatās what my work with inTEACHional is all about ā helping educators and schools prioritize well-being through coaching, workshops, and intentional wellness resources.
If you or your campus are looking for ways to support teacher wellness in meaningful and sustainable ways, Iād love to connect. Letās start the conversation. š¬

š World Mental Health Day: Prioritize Peace, Not Just Productivity
Today serves as a reminder that mental health isnāt a luxuryāitās a necessity. In education and beyond, so many of us give endlessly to others while quietly running on empty.
As someone whoās spent years in schools and now supports educators through inTEACHional, Iāve seen firsthand how much strength it takes to show up every day with heart and purpose. But Iāve also learned this truth: you canāt pour from an empty cup.
Letās normalize rest. Letās value emotional well-being as much as achievement. Letās make space for boundaries, reflection, and careānot only for our students or teams, but for ourselves.
š§ This yearās World Mental Health Day theme reminds us that mental health is a universal human right.
So wherever you are today, pause. Breathe. Reconnect with yourself. Because when we nurture our mental, emotional, and overall well-being, we donāt just sustain ourselvesāwe sustain our impact.
š¬ How are you honoring your mental health today?

I canāt believe itās been 10 years since I walked across that stage at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff ā full of hope, purpose, and a whole lot of faith in what was possible. š
UAPB didnāt just give me an education ā it gave me a foundation. It taught me resilience, pride, and the power of showing up even when the path isnāt clear.
Having my son, Ian, in this photo makes this milestone even more meaningful. Being a mom at 16, I was often categorized as a statistic. In Arkansas, only about half of all teen mothers graduate high school by age 22 ā and less than 2% earn a college degree by age 30.
College wasnāt easy, but I had the support of my tribe ā and faith that my story could be different. Education opened doors that once felt out of reach, and it became the pathway to purpose.
Because of that foundation, Iāve spent the last decade teaching others ā not just academics, but how to nurture their mental, emotional, and overall well-being.
Thatās the heart behind inTEACHional ā transforming lessons learned through life and education into spaces where others can heal, grow, and thrive.
š¦ Hereās to Homecoming season, growth, and living life like itās GOLDEN!

Affirmation: āI give myself permission to slow down and breathe.ā
My car is in the shop ā and while that might sound like an inconvenience, itās forcing me to do something I rarely do: be still.
So much of my day (and life) is filled with movement, all centered around supporting others. But today, Iām reminded that stillness has value too.
Rest is not resistance. Itās a reset.
Today, Iām giving myself permission to pause ā to breathe, reflect, and trust that slowing down can be productive in its own quiet way.
šŖ Reflection Prompt:
What does slowing down look like for you this week ā even if itās just for five minutes?
Reminder: your pace does not define your purpose.
When life forces you to slow down, how do you use that moment to reset?
