🌸What an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week at NSE! 🌸

From the handwritten notes and sweet drawings from our students to the thoughtful gifts, every act of kindness reminded our staff just how loved and appreciated they are. Whether it was a tiny “thank you” from one of our littlest Mustangs or the delicious breakfasts and lunches provided by our amazing PTO, our teachers were truly showered with gratitude all week long.

Our teachers pour their hearts into our students every single day, ensuring ALL kids grow academically, socially, and emotionally. They build confidence, inspire lifelong learning, and create classrooms filled with love, laughter, and high expectations. We could not be more proud of the incredible educators we have at Nichols Sawmill Elementary.

And of course… we had a little fun along the way too! 💃🌺 From hula dancing and playground games to gifts, laughter, and special moments together, this week was full of joy and celebration.

Thank you, NSE teachers, for all you do for our students and families. You are the heart of our school, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you!

What a perfect way to begin wrapping up the BEST year yet at NSE! 💙🐴

Hearing our students and staff sing the NSE school song together at our final pep rally of the year was such a special moment. The pride, joy, and family atmosphere at Nichols Sawmill Elementary truly shine through in moments like these.

This year has been filled with growth, laughter, learning, and memories we’ll never forget. Thank you to our amazing students, staff, and families for making NSE such a special place to be.

Happy National School Nurse Day to our Magnolia ISD nurses! From everyday bumps and bruises to bigger health needs, they are a steady, compassionate presence on every campus.

Along with our clinic aides, they help keep our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn, while offering comfort, calm, and a friendly face when it’s needed most.

🌟 Today is Election Day! Voters must cast their ballot at their assigned precinct location! Polls are open 7 AM - 7 PM.

One of the items on the ballot is the single-proposition MISD 2026 Bond Election that addresses the accelerated student enrollment growth. 92% of this Bond is for classroom space.

⚪ High school #3 (opening August 2030)
⚪ Elementary school #10 (opening August 2028)
⚪ Elementary school #11 (opening August 2029)
⚪ Safety and security projects including security cameras, wireless upgrades, server upgrades and enhanced data storage
⚪ Land acquisition for future junior high, intermediate,
and two elementary sites
⚪ School buses to replace those 20+ years and older
⚪ Priority maintenance at existing schools
