Our Story

Luka, a violinist from Serbia by way of Slovenia, met Amber, a violist from America. After only having known each other two weeks, they decided they did not want to be apart. Being on two different continents was certainly a challenge and one that was made easier when Luka moved to the US in August of 2014 to be with the love of his life. The couple was married a few months later in December.

The Sešeks have always had love and passion for teaching. Amber teaches at Seattle Pacific University and has always maintained a studio of students, while Luka has taught others most of his life since he was raised by professional violinists. With Luka completing his degree in 2016 from the Colburn Concervatory, they could begin their next chapter.

In 2017, Amber and Luka launched the Sešek String Studio, a violin, and viola studio devoted to a total music education. What is a “total music education” you ask? It’s an education that provides all of the fundamental building blocks of creating a complete musician, including private lessons, music theory, chamber music, studio classes, and recitals. The Sešeks feel very strongly that all of these components together make for the best well rounded violinist or violist. The studio is continuously in demand and Luka and Amber are excited to see what more the future holds!
