Music Club Members:
We are hosting a Band/Choir festival at Lee College this Friday and Saturday, May 20th and 21st. The fact that we are hosting means that the company that organizes these festivals, Choice Music Events, will kick back money to our program.
We are looking for a few volunteers to serve for a few hours. Your service will help the festival to run smoothly, meaning that they may decide to use our facility again in the future, which in turn would mean another contribution to the program.

The Baytown Concert Band will perform their spring concert on April 22 at 7:30pm in the Performing Arts Center! Selections include works by Danny Elfman, Baytown's Leon Steward, and more!

Please join us. Walter and I are working to make sure that all music majors will get in free.

I'm very excited to announce that my Second Symphony will be premiered by the wonderful Baytown Symphony Orchestra on March 12. I hope you can join us!

Hello, music students
This is a heads-up for you about the Spring. We (Dr. Weinel, Dr. Mueller and I) have always felt fortunate to be able to offer generous amounts of assistance to our students in the form of Departmental Scholarships. We have each had an allotted amount that we've been able to distribute among our students. This year, without us being informed, this amount has been drastically cut. We should have been informed of this last Spring, or Summer at the very least, but we are only finding out about it now. The entire VPA Division has been blindsided by this.
I know that many of you need this assistance, but we are now being told that there is no more money. Please make sure you apply for any Financial Aid you can find, especially the Foundation Scholarships, so that you can continue to fulfill your goals.
Our first Forum is Jan. 25. We have a great and busy semester ahead of us, and I look forward to seeing it through with all of you.

The Lee College Music Club went to go see Giacomo Puccini's Madame Butterfly at the Houston Grand Opera. The show was superb and a fun time was had by all!
