Your due date is one of the most exciting days of pregnancy... but it shouldn’t become a source of pressure. 😬

The truth is, your due date is simply an estimate. In fact, only about 5% of babies are born on their actual due date.

One of the things I tell my clients is to think of their due date as the middle of a one-month window rather than one specific day. That window starts about two weeks before your due date and extends about two weeks after. While babies can certainly arrive outside of that timeframe, it often creates a much healthier expectation than putting all of your hopes on a single date. 🥰

Comment “LABOR” and I’ll send you my article on the signs that labor may be approaching.

“I almost didn’t go.

She might need a feed.
What if she cries?
What if it’s all too much?

And then we made it, skin-to-skin, completely held, both of us melting into the moment.

A reminder that sometimes the things we talk ourselves out of are the very things we need most, especially when we’re supported in the right environment.

To any mum sitting in the ‘should I or shouldn’t I,’ this is your sign. Do it. I hope it’s exactly what you need.”

Simply beautiful. I love seeing businesses support mothers and I adore seeing mothers take care of themselves, too. 💗

If your newborn cries every time you put them down, I want you to know that this is normal and you’re not doing anything wrong. 💗

It’s important to remember that your baby has spent the last nine months being held, hearing your heartbeat, and moving with you. Wanting that same comfort after birth is only natural.

That doesn’t mean you’ve created or are creating a “bad habit.” It means your baby is adjusting to life outside the womb and you are responding to them as a loving parent.

Comment “NEWBORN” and I’ll send you my Caring for Your Newborn Guide, plus another article that explains why held babies often cry when you sit down but settle when you stand up.
