Wed like to wish a very happy birthday to Cy Falls head baseball coach Chris Laird! Off to a 2-1 start in district and we know a big W over the Lobos would be a nice icing on the cake tomorrow night!

A special shout out today to former head coach and assistant coach, Brent McDonald on his impending retirement from public education. He has served for 30 years in Cyfair ISD and Humble ISD, and has been an asset to literally thousands as a teacher, coach, administrator, and principal! While he will be greatly missed in the school system, we know he will be a tremendous value for whomever he is associated with in the next chapter of his life. Congrats, Coach McDonald! 

Some Cy Falls legends from the early years out at the park today! 

Brace yourself, boys… Especially you true old-timers and originals… Cypress Falls baseball is 30 years old this year! In 1993 we rolled out with somewhere around 32 players on one junior varsity team and got after it. We’re not going to discuss the record… Just the experiences and the memories and the now tall tales! Find a way to get out and watch the boys this year and maybe we’ll even put together something for all of the old-timers to get together sometime this spring! 

To the Cy Falls Baseball family:

The grandson of our first head coach, Archie Hayes, needs our help and prayers. A lot of the older guys probably remember playing against Coach Hayes’ son, Chad from Cy Fair HS. This is Chad‘s son who needs our help. If you feel so inclined to assist financially that would be great but your prayers and well wishes for Carson are the most important.
