Today the Willowridge Jazz Band competed for the first time in over a decade and received Straight 1’s, Outstanding Performance awards from the judges, and solo medals for every single soloist. I could not be more proud of these students.
They showed up and showed out from beginning to end. The energy, preparation, musicianship, and heart they brought to the stage was incredible. They truly left it all out there and represented Willowridge with excellence.
After the competition, we celebrated with a trip to Andretti’s. today was a special day for the Willowridge Jazz Band program. This group continues to make history and prove what can happen through hard work, commitment, and belief in each other.
I am extremely proud of every student who was part of this experience. The future of Willowridge Jazz is bright! 💙🦅🎶

🎷 Don’t forget! Our Jazz Band Festival is happening this Saturday, April 25th from 9 AM – 7 PM at the Willowridge High School Auditorium!
Come out and enjoy a full day of amazing performances by our talented students 🎶
We’ll also have concessions available all day with snacks like nachos, chips, candy, muffins, honey buns, drinks, pickles, and elotes! 🌽🥤
