Mazal Tov, Meagan Range-Carrier, on receiving her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education!

On Wednesday, we celebrated Israel’s Independence Day with a joyful parade, waving flags and marching around the school. After the parade, the children rotated through a variety of hands-on activity stations inspired by Israeli culture and the land of Israel. These included Loose Parts, Mount Masada, the Negev, Gardening, Sink or Float, Israeli Salad, Hummus, and Orange Squeeze. At the stations, the kids explored and created in meaningful ways. They made their own hummus and fresh orange juice, experimented with how salt water helps objects float, planted tomatoes and bell peppers, and used loose parts to design creative faces. Each activity encouraged exploration, creativity, and a deeper connection to the themes of the holiday. It was a fun and engaging day filled with movement, discovery, and celebration.

KAOS Jewelry is back for another give back for our school! Join us on Thursday, 3/26 ALL DAY! from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the J's Samuels Family Community Pavilion to shop to give back to our school! 20% of all proceeds will benefit BAS' teacher & staff appreciation efforts!

Our teachers participated in a culinary class making rugelach, the traditional Jewish pastry. Through hands-on exploration of this beloved recipe, they discovered techniques and strategies they can bring into our classrooms, connecting food, culture, and learning.

What a wonderful Purim celebration! The children had a phenomenal parade and carnival. They were so happy dressed in their favorite costumes, and even more excited to have their parents there to share this special experience in honor of Purim.
