To celebrate, we surprised our 50,000th enrollee, Naham Ncho, a fifth-grade student at Haygood Elementary, with a special classroom celebration alongside his classmates and some swag! 🎒

Congratulations, Naham, and thank you to our entire Lamar CISD community for being part of this exciting chapter in our story! 🎉

Wow, what an amazing event Lamar CISD put on for our Back to School Block Party! We were able to see some returning Hedgehogs and met some new Hedgehogs! We LOVE the excitement of everyone coming back to school! ❤️🦔💙

What a wonderful evening at our Hedgie Bestie Meet & Greet! 🦔💙 It was so much fun welcoming our newest Pre-K and Kindergarten Hedgehogs to Haygood! Students explored the school, met new friends, and enjoyed time on the playground. A huge thank you to our amazing Friends of Haygood for keeping everyone cool with drinks and popsicles! We loved seeing so many smiling faces and can’t wait to welcome our newest Hedgehogs back for an incredible school year!

Our Haygood team is officially back, and we’re ready for an incredible 2026–2027 school year! 🏆🦔 As Champions in the Making, we spent the day collaborating to build a vision for Haygood’s future, discussing data and planning strategies to help every student succeed, and enjoying time together while painting our sports-themed hedgehog mascot. Thank you to Friends of Haygood for providing our staff with a delicious lunch! It’s going to be a great year! ❤️💙
