We want to say thank you to all of our followers and supporters - without you, we would never have reached over 1000 followers on both Instagram and Facebook. Reaching over 1000 helps us reach more donors, more potential scholarship recipients, PNMs, future active alumnae, and more. We can't wait to reach more milestones with you!

As we near the end of the month of May, we also want to recognize it has Jewish American Heritage Month.
According to the American Library Association "Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM), celebrated each May, honors the history, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans to the U.S. Established in 2006 by presidential proclamation, JAHM grew from a 2004 commemoration of 350 years of Jewish life in America."

Did you know the reason poppies are worn for Memorial Day in the US is due to a woman?
According to Reader's Digest, "American University of Georgia professor Moïna Michael wrote a poem in 1918 in response to McCrae’s [poem "“In Flanders Fields”], titled “We Shall Keep Faith.” She also started wearing a red poppy in honor of the troops and came up with the idea of making and selling red poppies to raise money for veterans."
