As a singer, I can identify with Michael Buble in learning from the greatest artists. I love to listen to a variety of singers on their interpretation of a new song that I am learning. Sometimes I might listen to 10 different singers on the same tune. On this day in history, October 7, 1938, July Garland walked into MGM Studios and recorded the iconic song, "Over the Raindow". The song was written by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Yip Harburg for the movie The Wizard of Oz. It became Judy Garland's theme song and is regarded today as the #1 Song of AFI greatest Songs in Film. In 1981, Judy Garland's original Decca gramophone record was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. ❤️🎵🎶❤️🌈
